I have some cc points and am thinking about choosing a gift card to either capital grill, mortons, or ruth's chris. which would you choose?

we have eaten at capital grill before and loved it. its been years since we ate at mortons, and I honestly didn't like the old basement like setting, but now that it is on the water, that makes it a little more intriguing. we have never tried ruth's chris and am tempted because I think the location is cool. my biggest concern is I am not a huge butter fan (I like it on bread, but not really anything else), and I keep reading about how the steaks, and well, pretty much everything swims in butter there. Not sure I would like it as well as the other 2 places.

which would you choose? any good/bad experiences at any of them?

I love all three chains but some locations are better than others. I guess Morton's is consistently my favorite. But on Long Island I prefer Ruth's Chris. Which locations are you talking about?
Ah, never mind, I see you say Boston. No idea!

I had a bad experience at Morton's, won't ever go back. I love Ruth's Chris, but some are better than others. WEnt to Capitol Grill once, loved it. Sorry can't be of more help.

I am sure you will enjoy which ever one you choose.

I would pick Capital Grill because I haven't been there before. I love Ruths Chris - I am sure you could ask them to hold the butter. Morton's, I went once and enjoyed it but I like Ruths Chris much more.

I've only been to Capital Grille, but in two different locations. Both were amazing. I really love it there and was super jealous when my parents went without me. I"m not a huge steak person, but I love theirs!

We just dined at the Capital Grille at the Prudential this past April. It was my first experience with this restaurant. The service was impeccable! The food excellent. We have also dined at Ruth Chris in Valley Forge and San Diego but never Boston. Ruth Chris was also an excellent meal. The service at the Capital Grille really stood out. I have no experience with Morton's.

I would choose between Capital Grill and Ruth Chris but I would give Capital Grill the edge for service. I have had excellent service at Capital Grill in Boston and pretty rotten service at Ruth's Chris here. I looked past the bad service because the food was so good, but for overall experience I would go with Capital Grill.

My husband travels for work and LOVES steak. I think he has eaten at almost all the big great steakhouses in the country. I have gotten to go to many of them with him but at least most in Boston.

In our opinion calling Ruth Chris a steakhouse gives other steakhouses a bad name. I can safely say that I will never go there on my own choice/dollar.

Morton's is OK. I am personally not as crazy about it but it's good.

Capital Grill is our go-to date steakhouse because it's closest. We go to the one in Burlington. After all the steaks that DH has had Capital Grill is one of his favorites.

So hands down my choice would be Capital Grill. Flemings is also another good one in Boston.
