No, it never had it in Innoventions at WDW, because unlike Disneyland, Innoventions is part of Epcot.

VMK Central at Disneyland was Innoventions, and VMK Central at WDW was on Main Street. The kiosks at WDW are long gone because that location has shut down.

At a three year conclusion, so many of you were to take what was once virtual and make it real...something that on day one of VMK, I am sure none of you had thought would ever happen. I find it absolutely wonderful how so many of you are trying to get in touch for the final day of VMK in the parks...all of you guys had never known the other existed until VMK brought you together either through this forum here on the DIS or the actual game itself - and it certainly is touching that while you guys can't be online for the last day...you're coming together (or at least attempting to) to enjoy the last day in the real magic kingdom with real friends.

To be honest, of all the "VMK is closing" threads, this one is my favorite. No one is complaining about VMK closing...but instead you're all here trying to make the best of what you can on a day that will inevitably come (sadly). See, this is what was so great about VMK...it created friends like you guys here on this thread. It just melts my heart.

Thanks! I *am* kind of sad that VMK is closing; I SWEAR I never read or saw anything 3 years ago that indicated that VMK was to be something "temporary".

I agree with you; Cape dude and I have made some wonderful virtual and real-life friends via VMK and the DIS Boards, including your entire family. I'll never forget the day that Cape dude said to me "See this kid? He keeps wanting to play me because he's trying to beat me at pirates!" and it turns out that it was your father "mbike"!! They became two of the fierciest pirates ever to sail the VMK Seas!!

Aeryn helpfully reminds me that the game closes at 1am (our time) and that it's a work night. So I'm probably going to bed long before VMK closes, so actually my place is probably not the best place for a VMK closing party, unless people only wanted to game until 10pm or so.

Are you guys up for a meeting, either that day or night (dinner maybe?), or another day while we're there?? When will Out and Aeryn be available?? Inquiring minds want to know! LOL

Also, Fly, Cookie, Pink, and whoever else will be there....??

We've had this trip planned since last summer, had no idea at the time that VMK's last day would be falling during our trip!

I'll be in WDW that day also. An ironic and sad twist to it all for us; no VMK to help us get over our post-trip blues when we return.

Enjoy your breakfast at 'Ohana! We'll be at the Polynesian but probably won't have much time that morning because we're doing the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour that day!

I think I would rather be there with you guys, lol! Guess I will just have to be consoled to know I will be at WDW in August. I hope I am able to log into VMK a few times in the next month to say good bye to everyone

I myself have school that day but my parents are letting me skip it that day and go to Universal with friends of my fathers. I really can't believe VMK is going to close and all the friends I've made, the year(s) I've spent on my current VMK char and the one I lost due to deletion..will all be gone. Memories can't last forever.

We will be in WDW on the last day too. You are correct that VMK Central closed last fall. There is no place at WDW to sign on to VMK unless you have your own laptop in the resort.

Sunday, May 18th (arriving early afternoon) until Friday, May 23 (leaving in the evening). Not really any true weekend days, unfortunately. This was the schedule that worked out best for Cape dude and I, and his aunt. Also, Cape dude likes to get home in the beginning of the weekend so he doesn't have to go right back to work after a vacation. Pretty good idea, actually! And that weekend is Memorial Day weekend, so we'll even have off on that Monday before we have to go back to work on Tuesday.

Anyway... Are you available at all Sunday afternoon through Thursday night, or Friday for breakfast or lunch?? I could give you a listing of all of our ADRs and you can see if anything appeals to you!

I honestly don't know why they (VMK) are still having us play games, earn credits, buy new room/ride parts, just to close down in a month and a half.

I am sad for the closing also...memories like the one you have just pointed out make me sad to see VMK go. While I don't play much anymore...those earlier days were so much fun, lol. I can actually remember my dad, also, thinking CapeCAD was a kid... And oh my gosh, they certainly were a force to be reckoned with when they became a team! lol.
