I would like to do one of these two for breakfast. For the first day of my trip I will be solo (which I have never done before) and I will be going to either Epcot or HS that day (or both!). Which one would you choose? Has anyone gone to these restaurants by yourself? Also, HS has EMMH (from 8am-9am) which I would like to take advantage of but probably won't be able to because of breakfast. I would like to get to HS as early as possible (RD) so I can get a fastpass for TSM and do a couple other rides before heading to Epcot for the remainder of the day and night. The only availability for 1900 Park is 8:15am. Cape May has a 7:35am, 7:40, or 8:00. Which restaurant and which time would you choose? Thanks!

Having done both of those bot with our families and as a couple w/o kids (multiple times each), personally, I'd go w/ cape May though 1900 is good too. Both are character breakfasts so do you have a preference on those? We aren't fans of characters that aren't costumed from head to toe. Weird I know. So people like Mary Poppins and Bert, the Mad Hatter and Fairy godmother just didn't do anything for us (even w/o kids). BUT I think both places had the better food of most of the buffets on property and since you're going to Epcot, both places will make it easy to get to that after. One by boat, one by monorail.

Our next trip to WDW will include a breakfast AND a dinner at Cape May. We just love it. I don't know when we'll return to 1900. It's not bad, food is good, just not our thang. ;)

I would definitely choose Cape May for breakfast, but having said that, even with the earliest time, you could never make rope drop :confused3

If you're planning on heading to DHS early that day, Cape May would be much more convenient.

Both have pretty good breakfast food. But i think cape may is a bit better. Simply cause of the atmosphere, characters and yes the food!! I'd go with that. But its true that you wont make RD no matter how early you go. Why not schedule a later breakfast then? if HS has EMH at 8am, schedule a 10am breakfast. That way you make RD, go on rides, and have plenty of time before your ADR. Thats what we did.

I knwo a LOT of people like rope drop, believe it or not though, not everyone does. ;) We avoid it actually. We like the initial rush to get in. Anxiety issues. ;)

Another vote for Cape May. We have been to and enjoyed both, but if I was traveling solo I would definitely choose Cape May.

If I made a 7:40 ADR, I don't think it would take more than 1 hr especially since I am solo and it is a buffet. If I get out by 8:40 then I can walk to HS. I could possibly get there by 9am. Right? I don't need to get to HS by RD but I want to get there as early as possible!

We've eaten at both and prefer Cape May! Everything about it is great; the character interaction, the staff, the food, the setting. It just can't be beat IMO. If you plan on going to DHS it will be perfect! Have fun! April

This would work if you get seated on time. I like cape may. nothing super duper fancy, but always above edible! PP had a point too. If you go to DHS first, ride what you want, then stop for breakfast between DHS and Epcot, tou could save a little time.

We love 1900 Park. For breakfast or lunch the characters are great and the food is delicious. Strawberry Soup, yummy!

We like both also but you will be closer to HS if you go to Cape May. You could even take the boat over to HS which is a nice little ride.
