Cape May via Epcot Gateway EMH

does anyone know if we can get from Epcot to Cape May Cafe @ BCR via the Int Gateway before 11am (when WSC opens)?
We are thinking of going to EPCOT during morning EMH then going to Cape May Cafe for b'fast around 9:45/10:00 before coming back into Epcot, but can we use the gateway before world showcase opens, or would we have to go the long way round?
Not sure if it makes any difference, but we will be staying at AKL and will have a car.

The Gateway opens at 9, the same time as FW. They do have it roped off before 11 am so you can't walk around the WS, but you can come and go via the Gateway.
