Cape May Seafood Buffet

Anyone know if this is true?

According to the menu on Allears.net for Cape May Buffet there are just certain nights for fried shrimp

Seafood Selections

Snow Crab Legs, Steamed Clams, Prince Edward Island Sound Mussels,
Baked Seasonal Fish, Tortellini with Lobster Sauce, Seafood Pot Pie,
and Fried Cod (Sunday and Friday),
Batter-Fried Calamari (Tuesday and Thursday),
Fried Shrimp (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday)

We have been to every buffet at WDW I think and this is the only one we return to visit after visit.

The crab is wonderful. My 2 children don't eat seafood and there was a ton for them to enjoy.

I would highly recommond it.

We went last year during the week after the 4th of July. We had one of the first dinner reservations of the night so it wasn't crowded and it was a Wednesday night I think.

I am also from New England and my husband grew up on the coast of North Carolina so we are both seafood snobs. Our kids can peel a shrimp faster than you can blink because they've been eating seafood all their lives.

I would say it was mostly thumbs up. We basically stuck to the steamed or baked selections (crab legs, steamed shrimp, fish) and the kids had a mix of steamed and fried shrimp and crab legs. I didn't touch the chowder because I knew I'd be disappointed and I will agree that some of the fried foods were "Golden Corral-ish" as a previous poster described it.

Desserts were excellent! Probably some of the best we had.

I would say go for it. In fact, I think I'm going to go see if I can make an ADR for our trip now.

For those that have asked whether non-seafood eaters will find something to eat/like Cape May - I can share that the only seafood I eat is batter-coated deep fried cod (think Long John Silver's or Yorkshire in Epcot) and Cape May is my favorite restaurant (not buffet, restaurant) at WDW. And I've eaten at a lot of them (not a foodie though).

My daughter and I just ate there last week and it was wonderful.Everything was hot and fresh and they also had great pizza!

Is it still worth going if your not a big seafood fan? I like haddack/cod but not clams. I have never tried crab legs. My DH does not eat much fish either. He likes mussells and cold shrimp. I did make a reservation for our trip in November because it gets such great reviews. How is the other food at the buffet?
Thanks

My son and I don't like seafood so we had always decided not to try the Cape May clambake ( we love their breakfast though) Last year we went with my cousin's family and tried it for the 1st time. Aside from Le Cellier, it was my favorite meal!! Absolutely loved the :worship: Oreo bon bons and Mac n cheese-homemade mac n cheese, not your typical WDW mac n cheese and the salads were awesome. Lots of selections for the non-seafood eaters :goodvibes

I went this past July and absolutely loved it. I mainly ate the crab legs and a few sides. It was well worth it and great fun with friends. I think you'll find a combo of people who love it or hate it here, but for me it's a big thumbs up! :thumbsup2
