We have a reservation at the Beach Club for dinner at Cape May for later in the month. I know they tightly control parking there especially during the F&W. Are we going to be able to park in their lot if we have an early dinner reservation at Cape May? We are staying on Disney property if that makes a difference.

I wouldn't count on it. Odds are poor. You may be asked to valet or park at DHS/Epcot and walk back.

I can only tell you what I experienced at the Boardwalk during Food and Wine a few years back. Any vehicle looking to park was turned away at the gates unless they were actually staying at the Boardwalk. Not even ADRs were being allowed through. They were being asked to park in an overflow lot. They were not even being allowed in to valet unless they had a handicapped tag. Luckily we had taken a taxi so we were allowed in to be dropped off.

That is also what I saw mid-October of last year. They had very large, light-up highway signs outside the Epcot Resorts re-routing everyone to Epcot's lot. They weren't even doing valet at one point.

This was on a TUESDAY. I mean, oy.

Yep, they are strict! And honestly they should be. The people who stay at the Boardwalk and like hotels are spending a lot of money to do so, especially at that time of the year.

I don't remember what day it was, but we were heading there for a Flying Fish reservation.

Yeah. I actually think they need to be stricter at Boardwalk, truth be told. My comment was more "10AM on a Tuesday. A TUESDAY."

If you have a reservation for Cape May you will be allowed to park in the BC lot. Its a perfectly valid reason to be there and use their parking lot. It doesn't matter if you are staying on Disney property at all.

Surprisingly, whenever we've stayed at the BCV during the F&W, there's been plenty of room over on that side.

We'll see-haven't been there yet, a few more weeks.

If there is room they will let you park at BC with a valid reservation. If there is no room they will direct you to the overflow lot.

What is the overflow lot you referred to? We have a handicap tag if that makes a difference. I would hate to get to the parking lot and then be turned away. If we have to go to Epcot to park, we will miss our reservation and will have to pay the $10 pp fee.

Handicap will be admitted if their are spots available. Valet will also be an option. They sent us to an area that was in the back of the Yachtclub parking that they called overflow. Not sure if that is the official name or not but thats where they sent us.

I think I read that if you have a handicapped placard, you can valet park for free. I haven't tried it (just got my Handicapped placard) though, so I hope that's true.

True, those with a handicap placard valet for free at Disney resorts.

Okay, never done valet parking before. With regards to tipping - do you tip both ways or just when you get your car back? What is the normal tip amount? Thx.
