Cape May or Whispering Canyon for Dinner?

We are going at the end of August to take advantage of Free Dining. I currently have an ADR at Cape May for dinner, but I think I might try to get Whispering Canyon (if available). We've never seen the Wilderness Lodge and it could be fun.

Myself, DH, DS (20) and DSGF (20).

Your thoughts?

It is very fun! Great food, we like the skillet platters and the antics are very cool. Our kids just love eating here. I will add that the restaurants are booked pretty solid during that time frame. I'd call asap, there may not be any availiablity.

Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, everything is pretty much booked up that week. At least I have my ADR at Cape May. To be honest, Cape May isn't my first choice, but it's all I could get. I think I'll just keep trying for Whispering Canyon and see if I can get lucky!

Whispering Canyon is one of my familys favs. We have a blast. Keep calling and maybe someone will cancel. Good luck!

We are trying Whispering Canyon for the first time this fall so I am not much help. But we didnt like the clam bake very much. I think most places I would rather eat than there.

We are huge fans of Cape May...dont go thinking you are in for a lot of seafood..they have peel and eat shrimp, steamed littlenecks, mussels, fish of the day and clam chowder. The food is very good and the desserts are yummy

We have ADRs for Cape May in Sept - never eaten there before, but WCC is a must - it's so much fun for breakfast, lunch or dinner - and WL is breathtaking. Try back - lots of folks double book ADRs - and I bet you'll get a reservation. enjoy!

I really dislike Whispering Canyon - don't find the antics there funny at all. The food is OK. I do however like the Cape May so I'd choose it in a hearbeat.
