Cape May info needed...

Going to Disney in Nov. 2008. Taking the parents and our 2 daughters. My questions is...Does Cape May offer any alternatives to clams & seafood? My Mother does not like seafood, but the husband and Father want their clams. And we've heard good things about the place. Is it do able? Any info would be great!

I am not much of a seafood kid, the only seafood at Cape May is the clams, clam chowder, mussels, fried talapia, peel and eat shrimp and sometimes salmon. The rest of the food is great, roasted chicken, hot dogs, corn, potatoes, veggies, a huge salad bar, ribs, sausage peppers and onions, baked ziti etc. We cannot wait to go back in Oct..bit of advice, dont go right when they open, the food sits out for 30 minutes before they open (we watched them set it up) and the food can get dried out and cold.

We're going in Nov. We're on the Deluxe DDP. I've been doing so much research on where we want to eat that my head hurts! LoL.

we go to Cape May every visit for at least one breakfast and dinner. We are usually on whatever dining plan exists at the time. Our last trip was October 2007.

DH always gets a lobster tail with his dinner. Now, it has never been written anywhere that we have seen, and most servers do not offer it, but it is an option, you just need to ask about it. We had an amazing server our very first visit in 1994 when we were on the much-missed "Food & Fun" card -- boy, do we sure miss that! Hubby has asked for it every year since then and has always been able to get it. We have never had to pay extra for it, but I don't know how things will work with this yeear's dining plan.

i love cape may cafe. we are going in 2.5 months and eating here again. i do not eat seafood and because of meds she is taking, my sister can't have any, but the selection is so good that it won't even matter. the deserts are great...they have a mini desert buffet of bite sized treats. we got one of everything last time, brought it back to the table and everyone got to try. it was easier than going up with the kids. this was our christmas eve dinner, and it was perfect. if you time it right, you can leave dinner and walk back into epcot to see the fireworks, but you have to like eating late dinners (we never eat before 7.30 at home anyway)

Nice selection of desserts.... Small samples of cakes such as cheesecake, oreos covered in chocolate, cookies.... The selection was a good size, I just cannot seem to remember everything they had...

DH had the ribs and said the were good, although not nearly the best he has ever had...

FYI: The menu on www.allearsnet.com has a better list of the foods at thsi buffet.
