Has anyone done the clam bake buffet? Is it in the Cape May Cafe proper or is it held outside?

Pictures and reviews welcome!

Thanks

It is inside... It is a large buffet with many seafood and nonseafood options... We liked it... We did not love it... The food was okay, but really nothing special....There were a few desserts we liked a lot... The menu on www.allearsnet.com has a list of almost the entire selection of food... The atmosphere was very calm... Server was okay... We would go again but we are not running back.

Oh dear...I discover something new every time I log onto this board. Odd question- does anyone know what type of clams are featured? Are there actual "steamers" (oval shaped with thin shells in a kind of dirty off white color)?

They are called Farm Raised Calms? If that helps??

Thanks for the link. It looks like they no longer have the peel and eat shrimp....that's too bad.

Yes, they do... It is not listed on this link... But it is listed on the allearsnet one and we were there recently and they did have them.

This place is fantastic!!! We absolutely love it and have enjoyed it every time we've been. The salads are absolutely fantastic! And the food other than seafood is really good as well. The breakfast at the same restaurant is also fantastic.

Yippie!!!!I'm glad they have the shrimp..but what exactly is Farm Raised Calms????:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

we didn't really love it. it was okay. we don't plan on returning anytime soon. in my opinion, the dessert (oreo bon bons) were the best thing i ate there.

We went in Oct 07. We loved it!!! We have ADR for Sept. I can't wait to eat all that I missed the first time. I was too full for more. We got a same day (within 2 hours) ADR. We called when we were in FW and walked to BVC, changed our clothes and still made it to dinner a few minutes early.

They are not steamers/little necks which are my favorite type of clam. I believe they are manila clams.
