Saw the menu the other day and "OH MY". The food sounds sooo good and yummy. They even have a kids menu too. Has anyone gone to the buffet for dinner and have any options? Is it a typical buffet? I know I've read that it can get very busy at the buffet because the counters are close but that doesn't bother me at all. Thanks everyone.

We have gone many times and have loved it, the last time it was a bit off its game but we are probably going back in Oct. The ribs and roasted chicken are the best

Dont go right when they open or the food will be cold and dried out...they start setting up the food 30 minutes before they open, we saw it with our own eyes...I think that is why DH said to lay off the place for a while.

We've gone twice...loved it the first time and thought the last time was only so-so. Not as much "fish" selections as we'd like, but the ribs were okay; the chicken was a little dry. It could have just been an off night. We are not planning on going this year but we are trying two new places--Boma's and Whispering Canyon.

Do they still do the crab legs add-on? I've eaten more then a few buckets in the past, and I didn't see it listed on the menus I saw online. I haven't been there for dinner in some time. I think it was an additional $10pp.

I do not think so. If they do, we were never told about it or given any type of menu about add-ons.

Thanks everyone for the reviews. MickeyNicki we won't be making ADR's until 7:30pm so hopefully that will solve the problem with the food being dried out. Thanks for the advice. I knew there would be good and bad reviews but I'm willing to try it once to check it out myself. If all the reviews were bad then I wouldn't go at all. We always want to try a few new places every trip. Thanks again everyone for the reviews and comments:yay:

We're not really buffet people, but we did decide to try this on our New Years trip a couple of years back. It was very busy...probably due to the season, the service was slow, also probably due to the season and the amount of guests. But, the food was pretty good...my husband really liked it. I wouldnt say that we would go back every trip, but we will probably eat there again in the next 4 or 5 trips.

We've been there twice...both times with really great experience!

The food is great although the we had to wait for a little while even with ADRs. DBf's mom is a picky eater with clams and mussels (she eats out a lot and knows her food well) but enjoyed her meal when we were there last year. My personal favorite is the Caesar salad, and also the mussels.

We already made our ressie for cape may this year. Can't wait to go back!:thumbsup2

We LOVE Cape May:cool1: :cool1: We usually eat there atleast once each trip:yay: We've also done breakfast there many times and that's very good, too:thumbsup2

I just booked an ADR a few minutes ago for September.

Can someone tell me how to get there if we are in Epcot? How much time is needed to get there?

TIA!

To get there, you'll go out the International Gateway exit, which is between the UK and France in the World Showcase. Instead of crossing over the bridge to France, head down the hill to the exit. After you exit, just keep going straight up over the hill and go in the Beach Club Lobby. Turn left immdeiately after you enter the BC, and Cape May is straight ahead. It's about a 5 minute walk after you exit the Epcot turnstiles to the BC lobby. :thumbsup2

Been there twice, once on each of our last trips, and to be honest, we eat there more out of convenience (we stayed at Beach Club, then Yacht Club), and while it is okay, I would not hurry to return.

The clams, the star of the show, so to speak, end up getting knocked around by the spoons so much that half of what you grab are empty while the clams fall to the bottom of the pan where you don't know if they are good or not. The mussels fare better and taste fine. There were no crab legs to be found despite the ads on the elevators in the hotel (LAWSUIT, just kidding). There might have been one or two other fish dishes, but nothing stands out now.

To be honest, and this sounds blasphemous, but they have too many desserts (one side of the 'square' plus a whole other area near the hostess) and not enough of the substantial foods, so to speak.

I'd say skip it and hit up Biergarten or grab some fish and chips in England.

we've been twice now and loved it!! we went for dinner both times and our adr was for 6:30. we love the boat taxi ride from HS and last time we timed it just right cause we got to watch illuminations from the pier. it was so pretty! we are big seafood eaters so we loved the clams and mussels and the desserts are great, especially the baked flan! my 7yrdd loved the kids buffet too!
have fun!

We have done the Cape May Cafe Clam bake about 7 times over the years, it is my Husbands favorite. With regard to the desserts: Years ago, there was one side of the "square" dedicated to desserts. Then it changed to just the area behind the hostess with about 6 or 7 different desserts. The rest of the square consisted of: one side salads & soup, one side clams/mussels/fish/shrimp, and one side other items - beef, chicken, veggies, potatoes, pasta, etc...
If they changed back to one side for desserts plus the area behind the hostess that is just fine with me:goodvibes

We loved it, there is so much choice, something for everyone. Dh loved the clams and had a few bowfuls, I don't like that sort of thing but was quiet happy with everything else on offer. The dessert selection was huge too.

Highly recommend it :)
