If you have been to both, which did you find had the better character interaction.

We are wanting to book one or the other, for Minnie Mouse. We have meals with all the others at other locations - but no Minnie.

Last year we had dinner at Chef Mickey's and breakfast at Cape May. We definately had a better time at Cape May.

The character interaction at Chef Mickey's is good - no problems at all - we love Chef Mickey's for breakfast. However, I don't think any character meal has better character interaction than Cape May breakfast. Cape May is very relaxed and the characters spend plenty of time with you + you will probably see them more than once. The only downfall to Cape May is you only get three characters: Minnie, Goofy & Donald in their swimwear while at Chef Mickey's you get: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald & Pluto.

Cape May hands down. Each character made it around twice and they were great! DS loves Minnie and she kept kissing his forehead while making kissing sounds. It was so cute!

CM was very rushed the morning we were there. The characters barely stopped long enough for me to get a picture and sign our kid's books. Mickey flat out skipped us and we had to ask twice to see him.

No ? Chef Mickey's has better interaction. This place is the best character place for bk or dinner. Cape May is sooooooooo quiet. Boring. But the food is good.

Having been to both, several times, along with many other character meals, here is my take:

The variables around character interaction are several, and have nothing to do with the location itself. Depending on how busy the restaurant is and how the timing of your being seated relates to the timing of the characters making their rounds, you'll either feel a bit rushed or fairly relaxed with the time the characters spend with you. I very much believe that it is NOT a matter of restaurant policy or habit that makes one meal's interactions better than another -- it's the timing of your seating and how busy (or not) the place is. Oh, and it also depends on the human CM underneath the character costume -- is that person having a good day, feeling upbeat, ready to have fun, or is that person still half asleep or having a bad day? Not one restaurant or another can guarantee how the human doing the job is feeling -- I know those CMs do try hard, but everyone can have an off day!!

So my advice is to make your choice based on location (if you'll be spending the day at MK, go to Chef Mickey's, if you're headed to Epcot, go to Cape May). We've found the array of food choices at Chef Mickey's more abundant -- if the food piece matters (although it's not a huge distinction) or on whether or not you want to see Minnie in classic garb or a swim suit.

Our personal favorite between the two is hands down Cape May Cafe. The food is very good, always hot and fresh, the service is outstanding, and the character interaction cannot be beat. My DD6 is in love with Minnie and whenever we go there to eat, my DD has to let her her know this. It never fails, Minnie always gives my DD so much attention by hugging and kissing her. Donald and Goofy are great as well, they really make it fun. Also, the whole atmosphere is much more relaxing than at CM. However, I do agree with what the PP suggested. If you are planning one of these meals around a park day, then if you are going to MK that day, do CM.....if you are going to Epcot or DHS do Cape May. Good luck deciding.

We did both last year. I liked them both, loved the atmosphere, at Cape May, although they stuck is in a side room, but the food had more variety at Chef Mickey's. I don't even thick they had waffles at Cape May.

I think at Cape May the characters could spend a little more time than at Chef Mickey's but honestly the interaction was good at both, they gave us signatures and photos etc.

We are Minnie fans, which is why we did both:-)

OH, at Cape May, Minnie is in Beach attire, so if you want the red polka dots than do Chef Mickey:-)

I would have actually said the opposite. Aside from Tusker House, CMC had the best variety of the breakfast buffets we went to. Plus everything was hot, fresh and clean. I can't say the same of CM's.

Also, they did have Mickey waffles when we were there in February. They were on the middle section of the buffet at the corner closest to the entrance. That corner appeared to be their kid's section.

LOL, I can't remember whether it was waffles or french toast or pancakes, but they didn't have one of them because DH was looking for them and asked...:rotfl:

I'll give no french toast or pancakes (that I can remember) but I remember those waffles. I hate waffles normally but something about those Mickey waffles...yummmmm!
