I'm what you would call "intolerant of other people in the morning". Is it still true that Cape May is one of the less crowded character breakfasts? Also, with a 7:30 reservation, is it possible to make it to Epcot for a 9am rope drop (driving a rental car to both locations)?

It is a smaller and more intimate character dining experience. We always stay BWV so not informed of how long it takes to drive to Epcot.

I was there one morning around 8:15 and it was not over crowded. We did have to wait a few minutes for our table and all but it was nothing crazy. Also the wait at the buffet was really nothing at all. We were able to get up and get our food quickly each time. As for the drive I am not sure since I have only used Disney transportation for every trip.

We have been to Cape May a lot and I must say it is one of the better character meals in the morning. The buffet is good and the character interaction is excellent. It is not as crowded as many of the in park character meals or a Chef Mickeys for example, it simply isn't big enough to have an overwhelming amount. Since it is a buffet you can spend as much or as little time here as you want. I think the character's make a full circuit in about 30 minutes. You also don't need to drive Epcot, you can use the international gateway entrance by walking out of the back of the hotel. It is either a short walk or a ferry boat ride to the back entrance of Epcot where. It puts you out between England and France in the world showcase and if you are trying to make Soarin or Test Track before it gets crowded you can do so from this location, have done it many times.

Thanks for the info, sounds like the right place for us... I was under the impression that unless we pay for valet we can't leave the car parked at the resort
