I voted for Cape May Cafe: your New England relatives may or may not be disappointed, but there are actually a lot of non-fish items on the buffet there to choose from so they can avoid the "clam bake" aspects that might not meet their standards. And the dessert choices are wonderful there. But mostly, I'd say the buffet for the kids. We love Raglan Road - ate there last September, and don't get me wrong, it's a great place with fab food, wonderful entertainment & fantastic drink offerings. But it's first & foremost a bar, with lots of drinking, and typically loud bar musical entertainment (not a typical bar band, of course - it's Irish folk music, mostly...but yes, it is loud.) And yes, there were plenty of families when we were there, but frankly, with very few exceptions, the kids all looked bored silly - some to the point of acting up, and the babies were all crying, especially when the music was going on. Which is not all that surprising since the entertainment doesn't start until after 7:00 p.m. so most of the little ones were undoubtedly tired. If you are off in a side room, then maybe the music isn't too loud. But if you're in the main room, it's loud enough that you cannot have a conversation at your table. (and we were not close to the stage -- in fact, we were as far away as you can be & still catch a little glimpse of the stage. It's great entertainment, but it is LOUD.) If you really want to try Raglan Road, I'd say go early and be out of there before the band starts...or request the back room.
