I am considering adding this to my intinerary for my next trip. It would either be here, or lunch at Beaches and Cream. I haven't tried either place before, but am interested in both. I could always eat lightly here, use one of my 36 credits, and then just get ice cream OOP at Beaches and Cream.

But I am looking for any input about the breakfast here. How is the service? What characters are here? Most importantly, how is the food? I am pretty sure I'll be booking five other character breakfasts this trip, (like I said, I have 36 credits,) so while I love meeting the characters, it is not a priority for me with five other character meals I'll be booking.

DH, DD(4) and I went in Sept. 2007 and really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It has a lot of food! The place is smallish (well, when considering WDWs size of many of the restaurants) but the food was very fresh and plentiful. Fruit, yogurt, cheese, breakfast meats, breakfast pastries, eggs, potatos, waffles, you name it they got it.

I have a food allergy so I was a bit shy but the chef came out and walked me thru the buffet and everyone was so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and always fresh.

It is a bit noisy, but we were sat by a single lady (probably in her 40s) and we chatted with her a bit. She said she liked it because it was one of the only places to see Minnie.

The characters are: Chip and Dale, Goofy and Minnie. They came around 2 or 3 times while we were there for breakfast and stopped for pictures and laughed and danced with DD. Chip also drew a picture on our table mat b/c DD was drawing pictures of 'her friends' (the characters at breakfast). They do pictures and autographs too.

The service staff is great, although can be a bit rushed if too many of their tables are sat at once.

Again, the food is terrific. While it is buffet, it is quite delicious. And, as I said I have a food allergy and they were more than willing to accommodate my requests.

The beverages served are brought to the table and you can have juice, coffee, tea, or soft drinks (soda).

Don't think you'd be disappointed, IMO.

Best Wishes and Pixie Dust!

Thank you for the info. I'm glad to hear the food is good. I'm not a big breakfast eater, and don't really eat eggs at all, (unless it's quiche,) but as long as there's pastries, meats, and potatoes, I'd be all set.

I'm lucky in the fact that I don't have to worry about allergies either. And it's nice to know that you saw another solo diner there, since I'd be solo if I decide to go to.

Cape May's buffet has alot of choices, fresh fruits, yougurt, cereals, danish, breakfast meats, waffles, blitzes.

Service staff can get a bit crazy since they have to bus their own tables since they lost their bussers.

I go everytrip and will be there next week. I always request Dorothy C she is the sweetest lady and very attentive.

Have a great time which ever you decide.

Cape May is our #1 choice for a character breakfast. It is just a happy, bright, and clean place. The food is excellent and the character interaction is great. I would definetly book it!

Another positive vote for Cape May's Character Breakfast! The selection of food items is quite varied, and the character interaction is great!

The buffet is kept clean, and well stocked with hot foods being hot and cold foods being cold!

Definitely one of the best breakfast places at WDW.

Enjoy your experience as a solo vacationer!

The lady we sat next to was having a blast at the character breakfast and she was really a lot of fun to talk to -- my daughter just started up a conversation!

She was telling us that she visits WDW every year and truly enjoys herself because she can have so many wonderful experiences and still feel like part of a group (w/o all the hassle). She said one of the best parts was that many times she doesn't have to wait long on rides b/c she is a solo rider (bonus!).

I guess one drawback is that random folks like us will just strike up a conversation. The lady we spoke to ended up moving over to our table and having breakfast with us -- it was so much fun making a new friend.

Have a great trip!!

Cape May breakfast is our favorite out of all the places at WDW, we make sure to eat there on every trip. We like to go at 8, or earlier if I can get it. Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale in their bathing suits are so cute and if you go early the place is empty and you get a lot of attention from the characters.

We have gone at 10 before and the place is so busy we only see 2 characters but the food is still super good. I love the yogurt bar, tons of fresh fruit of every kind, the best bread pudding, fantastic breakfast selections and plenty of them. Here is a few pictures from our Oct 07 trip, going again in April too.

I don't consider that a drawback. I love talking to and meeting new people.
