Cape May Cafe for Breakfast

This is my second favorite character breakfast. However, the other four in m family love this. We usually do two character meals a trip and this is always one of them. Characters are great, and they seem to spend more time with you than at other places. The atmosphere is great, plus I love going to the YC/BC. Go ahead and book this, you will not be disappointed

We are going here for the first time on our next trip. Can't wait!! Thanks for all the feedback!

We loooooved Cape May breakfast. We made it our last meal right before hitting the road on Saturday. The food was great, a wonderful laid back atmosphere, and I loved the parfait bar! Heads and shoulders above Chef Mickeys, IMO. Then again, we were all very unimpressed with CM, but thats another story!

Another Cape May fan here! I, too, had a not so great experience at CM. Bad service by the servers and characters. I've been in a boycott for 3 years now  and going strong. I've been to Cape May about 5 times and everything has always been great! In fact I just booked it for our last morning for our Dec trip...we're staying at the BC for the first time!

Our children are adults now, but my wife and I still love having breakfast at Cape May. The meal is always good, and the atmosphere is quieter than most character meals. We highly recommend it.

Just wanted to say I love your avatar! GO IRISH!

Hi! DH & I have breakfast ressies for Cape May on the same morning as we'll be going to Epcot. Can we leave the car at Cape May for the day while we're at Epcot or do we need to park at Epcot and go to CM. Our ressies are at 9:10, and EPCOT opens at 9:00 so I don't know that we'd be able to go thru the park to get to CM. Thanks for your help.

can anyone tell me if the waffles at Cape May Cafe are Mickey waffles or just regular ones?? TIA!

We love it here, one of our favorites. Great character interaction, awesome food and the best fresh fruit assortment. The characters are beach themed as previously mentioned and they spend lots of time with the kids. If you can stick it in, you won't be sorry.

I love Cape May Cafe! It's definitely not as popular as the other character breakfasts, and therefore it's a lot quieter. The characters have more time to meet with everyone since it's not as crowded and it's smaller than the other character breakfasts. And I don't think it's ever been filled up when I've gone. The characters are really cute in their beachwear. The food is also really good and there is plenty to choose from. We're trying out Crystal Palace for the first time this trip since we always do at least one character breakfast, but we'll definitely be going back to Cape May Cafe in the future.

Just ate there on Sunday, we love this place and usually eat there when they first open and that has been perfect. This time we ate there at 9:30 and the place was a nightmare! It was jammed full and the only characters we saw was Minnie and Goofy. The waiter was horrible, kept making rude sarcastic comments under his breath and took forever to clear dishes and bring more juice. The food was still very good but we had to wait a while for it to be replenished and the took away the carved ham

Sorry to hear you had a bad waiter that does take away from the experience. Do you remember who he was - i'm going in just over a week and would like to avoid him if you remember who he was.

I usually request Dorothy C if she is working and has space. She is the best!

We just ate there yesterday for our last day before heading home and the food was good! It was hot and enjoyable, and tasted very good. The server was ok, he was friendly and cracked a few jokes but you could tell he was kinda sick of his job that day and it was only 10:30am. Our ADRS were for 10:00am and we were seated at 10:25am I think. it was kinda busy there.

We've eaten at pretty much every character breakfast that you can at WDW over the last 2 years and the food at Cape May was really good up there with the breakfast at Cindy's castle. I was a tiny bit disappointed in the characters though, as they only had three there, Minnie, Goofy and Chip. If it had been our very first character meal ever I would have been *really* upset only to see 3, but since we've done them a zillion times it wasn't a big deal to me or the kids to only have the three there, but others might want to take note of that. I don't know if its always like that or just that particular day. I loved the atmosphere of the Beach Club hotel and loved the sand castles there in the restaurant. I would go back again. :thumbsup2

Since we generally stay at the Boardwalk, we hit up Cape May for breakfast on most visits.

Resort parking lots are reserved for guests staying, dining or visiting the resort. It's not allowed to be used as a parking facility to visit nearby parks. You can park at the BC and then drive over to Epcot. Or if you are at the gate at 9 and you basically power walk through the park to the International Gateway, you could probably get to Cape May by 9.15-9.20 the latest.

Thanks for the info. I changed my ressie at CM to an earlier time and will just drive to Epcot afterwards. DH had back surgery not too long ago and don't think he'll be up for a powerwalk.
