What can anyone tell me about Cape May Cafe - we're only been there for breakfast (one of our favorites) but I'd thought we'd try it for supper this time. What can we expect for items on the buffet? Is there lobster?

We have eaten there the last two years. The first year we loved it; last year was just fair...seems more meat that seafood for a Clambake. It was okay...but I think you can do better elsewhere. We have, however, heard the breakfast is great and will be trying it this year.

I agree the Breakfast is great. Skip the buffet. It is not very good. If you want seafood walk across to the BW and go to Flying Fish or to Bluezoo.

When we first went to this place we were in love, the food was fantastic but the second time it wasnt as good as the first and when we went Oct 07 it was just lousy. The place gets packed quick and the lines are long. They have moved things around a bit and the corn bread was on the hot plate area so it was all dried out. The clam chowder goes very fast and they do not refill it that quickly. The no longer have the beef tips with mushrooms, that was so good. The corn was soggy and mushy, the red skinned boiled potatoes were water logged. The fried talapia is very good as is the roasted chicken and the ribs.

I think our mistake may have been going right when they open at 5:30 right when they open, we walked over from the YC early, like 5, and we saw them setting the food out....it was ice cold by the time we got it to our plates.

I would say try it, the first time we went was great..maybe the next 2 times we hit it on an off night? You have to go and try the oreo bon bons, they are out of this world!

No crab legs or lobsters are available to add on to the buffet. There is mussels, clams, shrimp cocktail, fried talapia, salmon for seafood lovers.

We have had dinner at Cape May only one time and it was the worst meal that we have ever had at Disney! Maybe they were just having an extremely "off" night but it was positively yucky. You can do better somewhere else.

Wow! Was this recently?

Wow! Was this recently?

It was actaully about 2 years ago but it was so bad that we wont go back. We are usually willing to give any restaurant a 2nd chance but not this one. But, others have had great experiences so you just never know.

Coming from Nova Scotia with its wonderful seafood you'll be very disappointed with this place. Seafood sitting on a steam table is not good eats.

We haven't been in years but this was always one of our favorites and we just booked it for this June. Guess we should reconsider!
