Cape May Cafe Buffet Dinner Price Increase

We just got back (yesterday) and ate at Cape May twice. We liked it so much our first time that we called in a second reservation (that took a few tries). We were on the DDP, but I think this and O'hana are the only two places I would pay out of pocket for without too much complaining.

For us, the crab legs were good. Steamed perfectly, with a pretty good size and flavor.

They changed the selection a little from the first to the second night, and added some excellent batter-fried shrimp. I coudn't get enough of these. The batter was very light, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly.

I don't usually eat cold peel-and-at shrimp, so I couldn't comment on how good those were.

All of the other selections were very good, amonst the very best variety of any of the Disney buffets. My other favorates were the light fish (tilapia iirc) with bread crumb coating, bbq ribs, and the clam chowder.

I do apologize, I didn't realize it was peak pricing. I didn't realize All Ears changed the pricing on their page for seasonal pricing (I guess i don't check their website during the summer?). I am so sorry about that. I've never been to WDW during the peak season.

Although I still think that $35.99 is a bit much especially since it does not include a beverage like some of the other buffets.

Maybe that is wrong?

You shouldn't apologize at all! In a few years, I'm sure the regular price will be close to that. :sad2: And, I'm not sure why a peak price is irrelevant. Lots of people travel during peak season (hence the name) and will be presented with that price.

I am pretty sure that non-alcoholic beverages are included at any buffet. When I ate at the Cape May breakfast, I had both coffee and juice. It's probably just not listed on the menu you are reading.

You absolutely should not have to apologize for your question. It was a very legit question. Apparently some people have nothing better to do than belittle people who are asking honest questions about their upcoming vacation. I visit these boards pretty regularly and even I didn't see this question posted as many times as another poster suggests. I guess I'm not on here enough to know every single question that's asked over a few weeks period. And your right; for some people, myself included; even the $35.99 is a bit much. We are traveling during peak season for our upcoming trip and, like I stated before, if not for the dining plan (which we also paid more for being peak season and all:sad2:) we probably wouldn't be eating there either. So you are not alone in thinking that. I hope you have a great vacation.
