Comments? It's on my list of a maybe place to eat breakfast before Typhoon Lagoon in October? Don't see a whole lot about it. Good food, good characters?

We ate here in May. We had the rudest waitress ever! :sad2: We went basically for Chip and Dale. Minnie and Goofy were also there. The food was good, your average buffet. The characters were a little rushed it seemed. Not the best experience. My DS told the waitress that it was our 10th anniversary and she said - oh that's nice. We weren't expecting a big party or anything :rotfl: but a simple Happy Anniversary would have been nice! I sat through nearly the whole meal with an empty juice glass. She never came back until we were almost finished. She just seemed rushed and unhappy to be there.

On the bright side, we did get some great pictures of the kids and the characters! :goodvibes

We've had much better experiences at other characters meals - Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, & Ohana!

If you decide to go hopefully you won't get our waitress! :wizard:

We've had breakfast there each time we've gone, and we haven't had any complaints. The only other character meals we've done are Garden Grill and CP, so we have only those to compare. I love the buffet--yummy! We had the same waitress (Betty?) both times we took the boys, and she was great!

It's our favorite breakfast on property!!! We have a tradition that we always end our vacation with breakfast here before the town car picks us up for the airport to go home...

We always do a 7:30 am breakfast so we've got the place almost to ourselves (and plenty of character time!!!). The food is also hot and plentiful at that time :thumbsup2

I'm so sorry Momof2Disneyboys that you had such an awful experience :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 We've eaten here over 10 times in the past 14 yrs and they've all been great experiences save for a helicopter waitress last year :rotfl: :rotfl: She was a sweet older woman but was hovering around us all the time to see what we needed, if we needed something else, etc., etc... I guess when you're one of the only ones in her area when the restaurant opens, you'll get her undivided attention! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Awesome food awesome character interaction. I took a ton of close up buffet pics, they are in my April link

We LOVE Cape May breakfast as it's one of our favorites and is a must do for us every year :goodvibes. There's plenty of variety on the buffet and the characters are constantly coming around and they're dressed in beach clothes ;). We have gone atleast once a year for the last 7 years and haven't had a bad experience yet :).

This is our favorite meal at WDW!!! DD16 loves it so much that we usually do it several times!!!

I wanted to add that on all trips to CMC, the characters made *at least* 2 visits to our table during our meal, if not 3. Each time we've gone, it's been Goofy, Minnie, and Chip and/or Dale, all dressed in beach attire.

We went about 15 days ago or so and it was just okay. The food was your typical buffet, nothing special (although there fruit was good.) The characters to me, were kind of in a "rush". We have had much better interaction at Chef Mickey's, and Crystal Palace. I mean Chip skipped our table! We asked a character handler if he would be coming to our table, and he said "No I am soo sorry, Chip went back to the Magic Kingdom". ARE YOU KIDDING ME is what I wanted to say. :rotfl: Anyway, we will not be returning, we thought one try was good enough.

Am in the minority that we did not enjoy eating there at all. Keep in mind, we had no kids w/us. We waited FOREVER to be seated and only when I spoke w/the manager, did we get a table. As we were being seated, we walked by many booths for 2 people (there were only 2 of us), so don't understand the problem. Couldn't be because of no waitstaff, they were there. The waitress we had failed to come to our table but once, we again waited forever to get our bill. I was ready to just walk out and let them bill our room I was so angry, and no, she wasn't that busy. Food was ok, not that much variety for a buffet and for the price. BUT, all my complaining put aside, saw lots of characters and interactions with the kids and lots of adults were thrilled. There was a secondary dining room that was closed and the characters would stand in there and everyone would line up to get their pics taken with them. Never ate there before, and won't eat there again, but, perhaps if we had young children, would feel alot different. The mickey waffles were cute though!

People were lining up in another room to get their pictures taken with the characters?? :confused3 I take DD4 to character meals just so that we DO NOT have to wait in lines to see the characters! We'll be having breakfast here later this month and if this is the case, we will not be happy!

We loved it last summer. We had a later breakfast - 10:15 - and the place was about 1/4 full, so the character interaction was great. They actually made it around to us 2x in an hour. The food was really good, too. The only problem we had was getting there. We stayed at CBR and I asked for the best way to get to the Beach Club Resort, I was told to take the bus to Epcot because you could walk to BCR from there. What they didn't tell me was that you had to enter Epcot and walk through to the entrance at the France Pavillion. Luckily it was our last day at WDW and we had an extra day on our park tickets or I would have been very mad. I know now to call for a taxi to get there.

I can't wait to try it out! It sounds like fun. I just hope we get one of the nice servers. :goodvibes

We had a great experience here last January. The food was basic breakfast buffet, but it had something for everyone (even my super picky DS--Thank goodness for strawberries and fruit loops) LOVED the character interatction. We saw every character at least twice and they each spent a considerable amout of time at our table. Was also fun to see the characters in their beach gear. Here's one of my fave pics of DD and Goofy

Wow we would have given anything just for our waitress to come back and check on us at all! :lmao: Maybe she was having a bad day. :confused3 They had only been open for about 1 1/2 hours when we got there though.

But like I said, the food was good and we got some great picture of the kids and the characters in their beach attire! Very cute! Just the poor service really turned us off to the place. . . Maybe we'll give it another try in a few years. :goodvibes

You can read about our experience and see some pictures in my dining report if you'd like! Posts 73-74: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1861206&page=5

We had never tried Cape May so thought the "beach theme" sounded fun. THe food was ok. The characters seemed a little tired as they weren't all that energetic. Chip and Dale were obviously the same person as we got all the characters very quickly and Dale was missing. About 30 minutes later we see Dale walking around with no Chip. THe kids had to wait to see Dale and we were at the end of his rotation.
Too much money and didn't even feel any kind of "fun" like at Chef Mickeys or others we do.
Probably will skip it next time.

We are trying this for the 1st time in a few weeks. My son loves Chip and Dale and thought it would be fun to see the characters in swimsuits. WE have never been in the resort either so we are looking forward to seeing what it looks like etc.

It's a shame that a server can spoil your whole experience - but it can, I know - we had a similar issue with a server at Chef Mickey (after 2 previous good meals there) - we said we wouldnt go back but are giving it another try this time.

We eat at Cape May breakfast in a week's time (for the first time) - hope we don't get your server.

it is my favorite place to go. Ask for dorothy to be your server we go back just for her, well maybe the mickey waffles and granola bar too~~

Good food & characters . It's a lil more quietier than the other Character brekfast in my opinion.
