After spending a late night at Halloween Horror Night at Universal, we will be checking in at WDW and I had originally decided lunch at Beaches and Cream, followed by a walk to Epcot.

However, we had to cancel a Cape May breakfast this June, so now I'm thinking about doing that late, instead, and just doing ice cream at Beaches and Cream later.

Obviously you can't compare breakfast food to lunch food, but (ignoring the ice cream, since we're going to eat that sometime no matter what!) if you WOULD compare those two, which would you do, and why?

THANKS!

(ps How late is Beaches and Cream open, anyway? Just till the dinner hour, or later?)

OK, like you said, Cape May for breakfast and Beaches and Cream for lunch.

We were there at the beginning of June and did both - Cape May for the character breakfast and Beaches & Cream for lunch and for take-out shakes. Both were fantastic so here's my reviews:

We ate at Cape May the last day of our trip. The food was decent, hot, fresh - no complaints here. What we really enjoyed, however, were the characters. My dd's (13 and 11) "thought" they were too old to enjoy the characters, but we all had a blast. Got pictures with all of them (Chip, Dale, Goofy & Minnie) and filled up for the drive home. We would definitely do it or another Character Breakfast again.

B&C: My two dd's and I went one afternoon for shakes. The take-out line was short but it took about 20 minutes to get our drinks because the gal working the counter was "advanced" in years and kept forgetting what she was doing. By the time we got our drinks the line was out the door. They were messy, but they were very good. Two days later we had lunch there. The menu is limited but each of us had a great meal. And we had some great ice cream desserts as well. The food was perfect - service not the best, but not the worst either.

If you like grazing with the characters, and you like buffet breakfast-type foods I would recommend the Cape May.

If you like to order from a menu to your specifications, and you want some great desserts - go to Beaches and Cream. You can't go wrong with either.

Even better - go to one on one day, and the other on another day. You will thoroughly enjoy both.

Happy eating!!
