Cape May Breakfast, how long does it take?

We are planning a 7:30am Cape May breakfast and are wondering how long it would take to eat and meet the characters? I know character meals can sometimes take up to 2 hours but I figure if we're in the first group of people to eat it shouldn't take that long? We are planning a pirates cruise out of Yacht club that morning and I believe we have to be at the dock by 9am (cruise leaves at 9:30am).

At that time probably a little over an hour. You should be fine. They start getting backed up later on. We mostly stay at BC and see people waiting in the lobby for their ADR's starting at 9 or so. The dock is no more than a five minute walk from Cape May. Make sure to get some freshly made to order crepes-they are divine!

This just made me so excited, since crepes are my favorite!!! We're staying at BC in September, so breakfast at Cape May was a must on our list of ADR's. We have an 8:30am ADR. It is so great to be able to finally stay at a resort that has a character breakfast, so it will be easier not to worry about getting there and transportation.

If it's a little over an hour, I just double checked and the pirate cruise is 9:30am with arrival 15 minutes prior. At that rate we have some wiggle room as long as we get the 7:30am time.

I'd say about an hour. We had an 8:00 ADR last summer and we were on a boat to DHS right at 9:00. We did get seated a few minutes before our ADR time. I love Cape May. Have fun!

My daughter and I have been doing mother/daughter trips for a few years now. We specifically booked Cape May for her 20 birthday breakfast this past March. Strawberries and blueberries with marscapone and whipped cream for me, bananas, Nutella and whipped cream for her! Also, the orange cranberry bread and scrambled eggs with spinach and goat cheese-mmmmmm. We have had a great breakfast there every trip for 16 years but the last one was the best! Enjoy!

That sounds wonderful! I just changed our ADR from 8:30am to 8:10am, so we can get there a little earlier! Lol I am so excited!! We're going there on Labor Day, and then plan to take the boat to DHS afterwards.
