Cape May Breakfast before Magical Express departure?

Hi all,
We have a 1pm flight departure scheduled on our last day of the trip. I believe that we will get picked up by ME around 10am that morning, but am not certain. Do you think it's reasonable to book an 8am character breakfast at Cape May that morning? We will be staying at Beach Club and I think moving this ADR to our departure day will free up some other time on our trip. We don't want to be very rushed, but at the same time, our twin boys (2.5 years old) love breakfast and I'm thinking it will be better to head to the airport with full bellies. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I would think since you will already be at the Beach Club that you would have plenty of time. Maybe shoot for a 7:30 ADR just to be on the safe side.

We did this in October. Our flight was at 1:30, so very close to your time. Just be sure to drop off your checked bags for magical express before your breakfast. We had 5 rooms total, so we cleared out of all but 1. In that room we left all our carry ons, so we wouldn't have to take them to breakfast, and put up the do not disturb sign. After we ate, did a quick run to grab bags, removed the sign, and were off to catch the bus Worked just fine.
Have fun. Enjoy!

Thank you! I just switched to a 7:45am reservation as I wasn't able to move it earlier than that. Hopefully the extra 15 minutes will help. :)

Thanks! I appreciate the tips! What time did the bus pick you up?

Totally do-able, but let the server know that you need the check and want to square up quickly.

Sometimes, I think the wait staff is concerned about you feeling like they're rushing you, but meanwhile, they're not moving fast enough to suit your schedule.

I have read many reports over the years from guests who felt rushed at Disney's restaurants. That has not been something I've experienced, even one time as I recall. Just the opposite...I've sat there waiting to pay and got hung up almost as long to settle the check as it took to eat the meal.

Thank you, everyone! I emailed the concierge at Beach Club (we are staying club level for the first time) and they echoed your comments. We should have no problems with a 7:45am reservations but will need to have our bags dropped off on our way to breakfast. They confirmed that our Magical Express pick-up will be at 10:05am. I figure with a leisurely 90 minute breakfast, we should be out by 9:15am at the latest. Then we can quickly grab our carry-on bags, check out and head to the pick-up.

Make sure you confirm the bus by the night before or even earlier, or you may not have a seat on the bus

Also, be aware that the time noted on your DME pick up notice is actually the departure time of the bus. You need to be at the bus stop 15 minutes prior to that. I found that out the hard way.

When I went I would of not got on the bus if the bus was full I assumed that I had tickets didn't realize I needed reservations

Definitely doable, especially being that you are staying at that resort and it's a buffet so no need to wait for your food. Even if they don't seat you immediately you should be fine.

They could be you need a reservation

If I already provided my flight info to Disney and have a time, although I assume I need to confirm when we are there. Is there anything else I need to do to have a reservation?

I don't think so just confirm I confirmed with baggage people you could probably do it on the phone but not sure about that

I think that is absolutely doable! Especially since you'll already be staying at BC, so no traveling to get there will be an issue. We are staying at BC in September and booking Cape May breakfast was a must since it is right there. We never stay at a resort with a character breakfast, so it should be a nice relaxing experience to wake up and head right over, without worrying about rushing to get there. Enjoy!

We just did Cape May with a party of 12. We blocked 2 hours for the meal and it barely took one. You should have plenty of time and such a fun way to end your trip!
