I haven't really heard anything about it or seen pics, what does everyone think of them and do you have pics to share! What is good there!

We ate at Capn Jack's twice last Sept. The first time it was very good. The second time it was close to closing and the food was overcooked and dried out. Go at regular meal times and I think you will like it.

The decor consists of lots of wood and brass. There are lots of windows overlooking the lake.

We ate here last year and did not care for it. It is a must not do for us now.

We went in May of 07... We enjoyed our meal very much.. Four adults all got the lobster tails (came with a yummy rice and veggies)... We were on the plan and thank good ness we were... With four adults and three kids the bill came to over $400 (that included the app, entree, dessert for all)... We were jst talking about that meal the other day... My dad says it was his favorite meal of the week... It was up there for DH and myself also....

We loved the view of Dowtown and our server was very good...

One major problem... We were seated at least 20 minutes after our ADR time... Which was weird because we reserved the first dinner seating of the night to avoid the waiting issue... My parents had tickets for that night and they ended up having to rush eating and had to leave half their dessert.... We felt bad that they had to rush up to the other side of Downtown...That was our only complaint.

Awful!

The food was terrible (rubbery lobster and tough steak), but the part that has me vowing to save others from this place was the not one, but TWO cockroaches that were part of our meal. One was on the floor at the table next to us. It was comical because we saw it and so did that table, but the server didn't know we had seen it (and talked about it between tables). When she came out and saw it she tried to casually step on it and drag her foot all the way to the kitchen. It was so obvious, but she was trying to be discreet and it was kind of funny.

The second one crawled right across our table during dessert.

I know it's FL. I know there are bugs, but TWO COCKROACHES in the dining area are unacceptable!

We didn't love it last year. Not sure I even liked it. It didn't help that our server was sort of mean.

:scared1: That is terrible... I guess we will cross it off our list.... I am out when cockrocoaches are in... Did you report this information to anyone? This is information Disney management should know (IMO).

Okay thanks everyone, I ddecided to change my adr and we are now going to Fultons Crab House. Any reviews on Fultons?

We went to Capt. Jacks twice during our last stay and loved it. The lobster was great and so were the crabcakes. We haven't decided if we are going to go again this trip, but only because there are other places we want to try that we have never been to.
As far as the cockroaches....I do agree it is very gross, but I hope you don't think that cockroaches are partial to Capt. Jacks. If you saw them there, then they are probably everywhere else too. Of course I agree that it makes it ten times worse when you actually see them, but I guarantee there isn't a restaurant (or resort for that matter) on property that doesn't house a few of the ugly little critters.
Good luck deciding. We were very pleased there. Obviously, since we went baack a second time on the same trip.
