I am excited by... and dreading... the fact that I KNOW there are going to be 100 things that I want to buy for my son at Disney!!! ;) So tell me... what am I going to see & be tempted by??? ha! Is there anything especially great out there for an almost-3-year-old boy??? :) I don't want to go crazy & spend too much money, but at the same time, I can't wait to go shopping!!!! LOL

10 more days!!!

The disney shops are fantastic and a good way of cooling down when its hot in the parks, we love to shop till we drop and there are lots and lots of things that will appeal to you all but if your looking to buy something special for your 3 year old how about a traditional plush Mickey Mouse toy. They come in all different sizes so you will have a choice of price also it will be something for him to play with and a nice keep sake>::MickeyMo

There are a ton of cool things to buy for kids of all ages. Here are some of our favorite "boy" things:

1. die cast cars -- from movie Cars and also character cars.. fairly inexpensive and great to keep in the pocket and pull out in lines, waiting for meals, on the plane, etc....around $4-$6, but the prob is you can't buy just one!

2. hats -- there are a ton of clever, fun hats.

3. remote control monorail...around $15 (not including batteries)

4. fill - a - skull -- in Wonders of Disney, there is a pirate section where you can fill a skull (or treasure chest) with all kinds of boy treasure: tattoos, bugs, eyeballs, skeletons, etc. You can also "build" a pirate hat like Jack Sparrows in this section.

5. potato head parts -- stuff a box full of cool parts and use to build a potato masterpiece...bring your own potato from home and have a ball collecting all the great parts...$19 a box.

6. Legos -- the Lego store at DTD is magnificent and full of fun sets and fill-it-yourself cups. We also like to indulge in some lego therapy outside at the lego building stations.

Tons of fun stuff but bring your wallet! Everything seems so overpriced to me and it takes alot for me to buy anything. Most of what you see is very very similar to disney shopping or disney store items. One thing we do like that I find is not so over the top in price is the potato head parts. Still very expensive though.

The cars diecast cars are $6 each and sell around here for $2.88 so nothing I would buy there. Sweatshirts were $39 last week for size 4T!
