Hi,
Does anyone know what happens if we can't use all 3 days of the CA resident ticket? I've used 2 and have a reservation for the 3rd day but something may happen and I'm not sure if I can make it before the 30th. I'm hoping I could maybe get credit for that 3rd day and use it as credit for a ticket in the future.

Nope, they just expire when they expire.

If they're 100% unused, that's a different story. But partially-used ones don't have any value after the deal ends.

You're basically out of luck if you can't use it. These tickets are very restrictive that way.

That's basically me. I chatter through the app with a CM and from what they were saying (and not saying) it seems like that's a change the year. I don't know if that's true. I wish they'd give us a break and at least let us have credit towards another ticket or something.

Not trying to be argumentative, but when you bought those tickets, the restrictions were pretty front and center and clear. A lot of people didn't buy these tickets specifically because of the restrictions on them.

No, I understand. I know it said you have until Sept. 30th, but I figured you never know if they'll give you a credit or something like that. I was just hoping they wouldn't want to say upfront they'd give credit, unless you asked.
I am surprised to hear that a lot of people weren't purchasing them because of the restrictions. It's also the first time I've ever boughten a CA resident ticket, so I wasn't sure. But it's interesting to know. Do you know if there is the same restrictions if I had just boughten a regular 3 day ticket?

If you had bought a regular 3 day ticket, you would have had to use all the days within a 14 day window. That's how the standard multi day tickets work. This is why this ticket deal was so heavily restricted, because not only was it discounted, but it did not have the same limitations on use as regular multi-day tickets. So, in essence, it was a MUCH more flexible ticket, while having a lot of language about it being non refundable, non upgradeable, and not eligible to be used for credit towards other ticket purchases. In that way, it was kind of a like a restaurant special...no substitutions, no special requests.

I did not buy these tickets specifically because of the language about them being not upgradeable and the idea that we may not be able to visit 3 times by the expiration date, due to the reservation requirements. I did not like that language that was essentially Disney covering their own behinds. They went and started selling new annual passes prior to the expiration of these tickets as well, which I feel was kind of shady. I knew we wanted to buy annual passes and I felt like the language on that ticket offer was put there specifically to kind of screw over Californians who were waiting for passes to go on sale with no information as to when that would happen.

Gotcha. I understand. I guess it seems like there was catch either way, if you did the regular 3 days or the CA tickets. Oh, well.

As for the rest of what you said, I appreciate you saying that. I felt the same way, but I didn't know if they allowed that kind of comments here. I agree. Had I know about the passes, I probably would've just waited. But I guess they knew a lot of people would've done the same. But again thanks for voicing it, I appreciate it!
