Can't sleep ......

cos I'm so worried about my mum. She has growths in her bile duct that have caused a blockage resulting in her becoming extremely jaundiced. The hospital have not been able to carry out the procedure to ease the blockage as it is quite extensive. They are sending her to a hospital 70 miles away to see if they can help her. There isn't a bed available at the moment but we're praying that a bed will become available today.

All our mums are special to us but my mum is a very special person. She is one of those people that always puts others before herself. She had a tough upbringing which has given her this great strength of character. She never complains when things are hard and would do anything to help her family and friends. People always tell me how wonderful she is and how lucky I am to have her as my mum.

Thanks everybody. Still no bed for my poor mum. It's so awful being in limbo like this. I'm on my way to hospital now hopefully they will have freed up a bed in Liverpool for her, she will get specialist care there.

Thanks everyone. She couldn't be moved today as there is an outbreak of sickness on one of the wards. They are hoping that they will have a bed for her on the other ward by tomorrow. Thanks again
