can't sleep, anxiety for tomorrow, woman thing

Hope you are feeling better, I had both done the colposcopy in 1997 and the biopsy in about 2001, I think. I passed out during the biopsy!! But all was well and the pain soon went.

{{{{{hugs}}}}}

Claire ;)

thankyou, I am doing much better today, no pain or cramps. had quite a good day really. going to forget about it now till the results.. or I will try to lol x

Just caught up with your thread - glad you are feeling better today.

I also had a colposcopy about 4 years ago - not a great way to spend 30 minutes but they were able to treat the problem and now am absolutely fine. Sending you lots of pixiedust pixiedust:

so pleased you are feeling better  not a nice thing to go through.

I've only just seen this, glad you are feeling better now, hugs and pixie dust for you :hug::wizard::wizard:

Best wishes. I have had two consecutive borderline too so I could well be following in your tracks. Hope that the results come quickly.

ive only just seen this thread so apologies for the late advice.

3 out of the 3 female members of my close family have gone through this stage so very common. and I know of 5 of my friends who have had your stage of investigation.

As for my female family members 2 out of the 3 (including me) have had to go onto the next "lasering" stage. But we both had two very different experinces.

I would recommend you get completely knocked out. I was fine, not nervous or anxious until they used the needle for the injection .... then my blood presure shot up and they had to put me in recovery for quite some time afterwards. My sister on the other hand had no problem at all and was in and out in no time.

Its not nice, but worth the peace of mind afterwards in ALL of these procedures.

Hope it comes back clear and you dont need any further surgery ..... you certainly arent alone!!!

Hi Claire:hug:

I don't normally get over to this board (usually spend too long on the planning ones;)) - not sure what brought me over here, but just wish I had read your first post earlier as I would have chatted to you (and hopefully reassured you!!) about the colonoscopy - as I was in the exact same boat last weekend waiting for one - and I know how scary waiting for it is:sad2:

I have had my results of my biopsy (thankfully although I have been diagnosed with diverticular disease, it wasn't anything more sinister) - so I will be thinking of you over the coming weeks and hoping that you get good news too.

Take care,

love amy xxxx

I am toying with posting this in case it sounds insensitive but here goes-

have any of you guys thought about declaring any of these tests for travel insurance - when I got my borderline results one of my earliest thoughts was whether it might impact Florida.

Thinking about you and hope your results come quickly.
