Can't read codes on Coke caps?

I just discovered a neat trick: Shine a flashlight (I happened to have a Mini-Mag sitting on the counter, and it's the perfect size) on the backside of the cap. It'll illuminate the tiny thing, and you can read it so much more easily! Works even with dark colored caps.

What a great tip - thank you! I've had to throw away caps before because I couldn't make out the code. I just tried it on one I couldn't read, and it works great. This is awesome!

Sometimes I just put it up against the computer screen and it lights it up enough to help.

I wonder if there is a good trick for the plastic AquaFina code labels, there are near impossible to read.

I have a really bright window near the computer and I just hold them up to the window. Glad you found a way to help read them.
