How far in advance do you recommend making reservations for Universal Studios restaurants? We will be there in November for the first time since 1996! This will be my kids first trip to US/IOA. Is there anything that a first timer should definitely do/see? Thanks!

As far as the do/see attractions, I wouldn't skip anything...if you have the time. BUT...Do NOT miss the Horror Make Up Show at the Studios...it's a hoot! :rotfl:

Most restaurants inside the parks do not take reservations so it's really a first come first serve thing. Mythos at IOA takes reservations but not more than about 30 days out.

Thanks! That's a lot easier than 6 month in advance! I'll definitely put the Horror Make up show on our list.

i made my Mythos reservation last week for our July trip. I didn't want to chance not beng able to sit down and it at least once.

Everyone will have a different opinion of what's not to miss.

For us, our "don't misses" we do EVERY trip EVERY day.

They are:

IOA: Spidey, Hulk, DD, Popeye, Cat in the Hat, High in the Sky Trolley Ride (which, is slower, more relaxing and boring, but it's HIGH and you get great views of IOA from up there) and the new HP.

Studios: MIB, Simpsons, Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, Mummy, Disaster! and T23D at least twice.
