Me too! Fortunately guest services is great and either way this is a no worry situation! They have room keys ready until the bands get sorted.Have them ready at check-in. Don't pack them like me-lol. Save yourself a trip to guest services!
Same, and we cruise in 20 days. When I open my DCL app and tap on DisneyBand+ I get a message telling me I’ll be able to link my band once I’m on board. No way to even try to link it now. However, we don’t sail until January 2026, so….
Mine is already linked to the WDW app because I bought it via a resort reservation. I looked at the DisneyLAND app, and it’s not there. So I think they link automatically to the account you buy them through, but you have to link them separately to the other apps - even though your login is the same, they must not talk to each other.I set up our bands and customized them yesterday on the Disney World app. The cruise app gave me the same message as stated above. Maybe that just means they’ll need to connect when on the ship.
You should be able link to the account, pair to your phone and download any updates through the parks app.
(I ordered through the cruise app which sent me to the cruise website, so the bands were already linked and showing on our account).
I was originally looking to turn off the vibrations but maybe we’ll try it out, first. I just ended up changing the light up color themes
And I’ll probably check back right before our cruise for possible new updates. Then we’ll see if anything else needs to be done with them once onboard.
Hope that helps!
Unless your ship is out of ketchup on the first day because of supply chain issues in Europe and the line of people to complain about said lack of ketchup is 45 minutes long (no I'm not joking).Fortunately guest services is great and either way this is a no worry situation!
I wanted to come back and address this by saying yes, definitely turn your band back on and check for updates and also charge it again before you sail. I turned mine on a few days ago, about 2 months after originally setting it up, and there was an update, plus the charge needed to be topped off, which took longer than an hour. So I have a reminder in my phone to repeat the process a few days before embarkation. And I’ll probably check back right before our cruise for possible new updates. Then we’ll see if anything else needs to be done with them once onboard.
