Can't get UPH now?

I'm renting a villa for 1 evening. Was planning on hopping to 3 parks in 2 full days, and my check-in date is 1/2/05. It seems there is no possible way to get a UPH ticket. DVCers can't buy in advance, and since I'll be checking in 1/2/05, they won't have the UPH available. I CAN drive to Disney and buy a UPH in person prior to 1/1/05, but do you have to wait until your actual check-in date?

Yes, I'm a Florida resident, but my folks aren't, and we were all going to use UPH because we are going to PI. I haven't been to Disney in 8 years, so I don't know when we will ever go again. But I'm hoping hubs and I will enjoy it so much we have to get APs. But it's up to him if he thinks we're going to go that much. Gotta make it especially special.

So is there any way possible to buy a UPH before 1/2/05?

I'm looking into ALL kinds of scenarios, and it's a REAL PITA. Had I known about this prior, I would've done things a lot differently. arrrgghh

No unfortunatley UPH's are linked to your reservation, they can not be purchased in advance, the way you are asking, as the ticket itself goes on your room ID card which can not be printed until the day of arrival.

yeah you are going to have to put up a bit more money to get the equivalent of the UPH, the shorter stays are where they get you on the new prices

If youre only going to PI once(or even twice actually), then I wouldnt get the plus option on the MYW
its 2 plusses for $45 on the 2 day base, you can get the PI ticket separate for $18

I agree, but if it was me, I would probably buy park hoppers now, and use the rest of the days at another time.

I've run all kinds of different scenarios. I was able to find 2-day PH+ passes at orlandovactions for $130 + $10 fedex. However, they are out of stock and won't have more until 12/20/04. Or I could get a 3-day PH+ at Alamo for around $173.85. It would be cheaper for hubs and I to get the 2-day PH+ from orlandovacations.

Wonder if the 2-day PH could be used to upgrade to an annual pass type thing.

Hey, here's an option:

I've rented points from a DVC member. If I rent points from a different DVC member for a single-night stay with a check-in of 1/1/05. I can get a 2 day UPH for either the $119 (if CM would give me the DVC discount, or worst case $129). Does the $119 or $129 include tax or is that extra

But I think I'm tired, and will just check on Monday about the orlandovacations ticket availability.

Being a Florida resident, it's quite easy to make trips to Disney, but hubs and I bought Busch Gardens APs and we had to force ourselvess to use them. I LOVE the parks, but hubs isn't so much in a hurry to go. This trip is a "sampler" where I'm hoping he'll decide he can't live without going to Disney more than once every 5 or 6 years or so!

the new passes will be ineffect on Jan 2 - believe me the more days you buy the better off - of course in your situation you need to add the no-expiry option.

I would get a Fl resident seasonal pass for you and your husband.

I bought 3 day PHPs for $179 after tax, thru special tickets (you had to have an Alamo car reservation to get this ticket). This still beats the $199 pre tax for the MYW with plus pack and park hopping, plus you get an extra day leftover which would not expire. If you know someone with an Alamo reservation on file, you can have them get a couple of them for you.

Of course, the ones I bought were for some friends coming with us on November; I conveniently left the tix on the desk as we headed out to Orlando, so mine are still sitting there unused
