Can't get podcast to sync and don't know where to ask for help!

I am very sorry to post this here, but I am getting no help from Apple so I thought I'd check this group of folks for some help!

I have an Ipod touch. It won't sync the podcast. When I open the podcast directory, it shows the podcast has been downloaded (there's the blue dot beside it to show such) but it is in faded gray print and won't play when I hit it.

I've uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled with no luck. My sync sessions keep syaing "could not be synced becase the sync session failed to finish."

I'm ready to hit my computer! I listen to this podcast when doing long runs and I'm frusterated!

can anyone offer advise or point me in a direction?

Have you tried deleting the podcast on the iPod Touch (swipe horizontally and use the Delete button) and then trying to resync?

No. My entire Ipod is screwing up. Nothing will sync. Not just this one podcast. I keep getting the failed to sync message everytime! I'm scared to wipe my whole Ipod clean!

OK, what computer OS and iOS are you using? Short of backing up (you might want to check to make sure you can do that) and restoring, I can think of a few more things to try, but it will be dependent on the operating systems involved.

Windows XP.

And I had installed the latest version of Itunes...I think 10.6

I personaly do not like the auto sync. What I would do is disable auto syncing and manually add them myself.

In order to do this you have to connect your device. Then select it on the left hand side. Scroll down to options and click the box that says manually manage music and videos.

After that you just have to drag whatever music or podcasts you want onto your device.

Let us know if that works.

Thanks! I went ahead and did a reinstall of the whole Ipod.

And that seems to have worked for now.

However, I am going to look at your suggestions for a manual sync!!
