Can't get excited about DL dining.

While I agree that the dining options at Disneyland don't compare to WDW, there are some good ones. I love Carnation Cafe for the food and the price.

As for Ariel's Grotto, your boys may react like the princesses have cooties or they may love the attention from all the pretty girls. The princesses are very good about making sure the princes get attention too. The World of Color dinner package does not have characters and is the same price as the character meal offered during lunch if you're not sure about the character aspect.

One of my firm rules of life is to only eat when I am actively hungry........so I appreciate that wherever I find myself when I get hungry there almost always a good counter service option that is quick and tasty. So much easier than WDW where you must decide 6 months in advance where to dine, so you find yourself eating by the clock and not natural hunger.
