Can't get any avail. on DCL.com...

for the 4 night starting Nov 23. I can, however, get availability on icruise and expedia. Here is the problem: my dd is only going to be 2 and it does not seem that the $99 rate for under 3 is on display. If I book it, can I call DCL and change the rate? I do not want it to fill up, and (as the thread title says, there is nothing showing on DCL.com).
Also, what is the deposit??

How many total are you booking for? DCL does place limits on the number of children of various ages they book on the cruise. I've seen several posts where 3 adults can book a cabin but two adults and 1 child shows no availability. Also, I think some of the non DCL sites appear to show availability until you get ready to select a room and pay.

Safest is to call DCL to verify availability. Also, sometimes staterooms become available at the final payment date but they may be more expensive.

Booking for 2 adults, 2 children (ds6, dd2). I guess I can just wait until the phone center opens, but was wanting to get it done!! Although, discussing it with dh would be a good idea.

Nah, don't bother talking it over with him. I'm planning mine as a surprise for all the family for next Jan., gonna tell them for their Christmas presents.

LOL, your dh obviously is not 'in charge' of the bills? Mine keeps track of the cc balances like I keep track of the Disboards
Anyway, I booked it!! I went back to DCL.com and there was available rooms! What I did not get was when I put in dd's age as 1, there were more rooms than when I put in her age as 2. Also, why were there NO rooms for that cruise just a few mins ago??
Now, do I call tomorrow and try to get a better rate or something? The only big 'convincer' I have for dh is that I can cancel for quite awhile (I wasn't really ready to put down $600, but did). I really hope this works out!

HAH, you have no idea how hard this is going to be!! We have a small plumbing company, for which I work. I do not have an outside job, therefore, no outside income. Any $$ I need comes from the company. That's why DH will be TOTALLY SHOCKED when he finds out at Christmas.

I have been literally hiding money everyday, I mean we're talking "sneaking"(oh, o.k, stealing) $10 out of DH's wallet, keeping the bottle return money, the spare change, cutting WAY back on the groceries-it's ALL generics now-buying a shirt or pants, then taking it back and pocketing the money. Anything and everything. Still don't know if I'll be able to pull it off, but I'm going to try like heck.

The only other thing that will have suprised him more is our 3rd child, which suprised the you know what out of me too, since I was on the pill
