out of the straight people, so I shall ask YOU!:cool1:

Given that these are my only options for my HS day would you

A) Have a late breakfast at H&V

B) Have an early lunch at H&V

C) Have an early lunch at Sci-Fi

Have only eaten at 50's prime time.. so I can't help you either. But then again, I'm straight, so maybe that is why I can't help you with your answer :rotfl:

But I really liked 50's PT for what that's worth!!

I can't get a ressie for Prime time. Been trying since my 90 mark. No lunch times available for the entire week we are there.

I am no fan of H&V. I do not care for buffets. They do have cocktails from next door. They even have my biggest weakness Yuengling.
Sci Fi may not have great food but it is neat.

I would keep trying for Prime TIME. Something may open up. That place can be so much fun, if you play along!

I think the sit down food choices for DHS are dismal. Sure the food is nice at Brown Derby..but it's overpriced and NOT worth 2 TS credits.
Prime Time is alot of fun but the food is bleech...
I've heard awful things about H&V, scared me so much I cancelled my ressie there, and lastly there's the Sci-Fi...fine for burgers but I don't want a burger for my TS meal!!

I'd rather eat CS, or at one of the resorts. The Boardwalk is close by....

I am not a picky eater and don't go to the restaurants for the food, but rather for the atmosphere and experience.

With that in mind, I had a great time at the SciFi and thought the food was FINE - not great but fine.

Never been to H&V but I would choose the SciFi.

P.S. I'm straight so you really weren't asking my opinion, but it never stopped me before.

That's because most straight people don't know what good food is. :teeth:

Neither. Sorry, no H&V here, nor Sci Fi. DHS has pretty limited choices for food. Can you leave the park and return? Beaches and Cream isn't far. You could walk there in about 15 minutes, or take the ferry.

There are other choices on the boardwalk for lunch or dinner. ::yes::

You could always go to Publix and get a picnic lunch and carry it in. Could be fun. :teeth:

GREAT MINDS AND ALL THAT.....

Maybe we will walk to the boardwalk. I dunno. We are on the DxDP because we are crazy and big eaters, I shall investigate.

I am not a fan of 50's Prime Time at all.
I am not a fan of buffet meals, so H&V is out.
I am not a fan of overpriced burgers, so Sci Fi is out.
I like the food at the Brown Derby, but it is a bit pricy.
I hear good things about Mama Melrose, so we are doing dinner there during our upcoming trip. It took lots of persistance to get the ADR that I wanted, but I got it.

Have fun planning! :wizard:

PS. DHS is my least favorite park to eat in at WDW.

And I'd like to thank whoever the last person was to vote SCi FI.

I don't wanna die via toothpick.

Yeah, it's an ouchy way to go.....but I still picked it for myself...:sad2:
Forgot all about Mama Melrose. I've eaten there and thought it was just OK.

We do have great minds, don't we Rosie! :teeth:

Mama Melrose? Never eaten there, but my wife did with her family. Once. 'Nuff said. :(

Seriously, do the boardwalk... or Beaches and Cream (at the Beach Club). Beaches and Cream counts as table service and they have really good burgers. Small menu, but simple and nice food. Good ice cream too. ::yes:: Wicked chocolate malts. ::yes::

Oh. Go with the toothpicks. :teeth:

I've always had a great experience at Mama Melrose's, so I guess I'm in the minority. As far as the others, I would probably choose Sci-Fi since the food at H&V is not all that good. The big drawback with Sci-Fi is that all the booths face forward, so conversation is near impossible, and the lighting levels are so low that its difficult to read the menus. That aside, I'd still go there.

Well, we'll be there with our kids. We don't want to talk to them or look at them, so that won't be a problem. :rotfl:

I voted Sci Fi, the portions have always been big, they do the gloe cubes in the kids drinks and I didn't think it was any worse price wise than the other sit downs except Brown Derby, of course.

I voted for SciFi. Stick with the basics (burgers, fries, onion rings, shakes) and you'll do fine. They are a little erratic on the more 'dinner'-like entrees; some are great, some might be fairly lousy.

As for myself, what I'm doing (on the QSDP) is having a snack breakfast at Starring Rolls bakery; a big Butterfinger cupcake and a soda should fill me up!

I am going to go with Sci FI again. I know I already voted for it! LOL The food is not great but it is really more about the experience. I think kids would like it. Besides you have to have a burger every once in a while, right?

However if you do consider the boardwalk I would like to vote against the micro brewery there. The beer is good, the food.......gross.

I'm gonna agree with Rosie and would have to say the sit-down choices are a bit lacking at DHS, however I've heard they've recently improved the food at Mama Melrose's quite a bit. (Apparently they made it a bit more authentic Italian, and less "Americanized Italian".) Having looked at the menu, I'd say the lunch prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is pretty cozy and fun. Considering its "off-the-beaten-path" location that a lot of people tend to forget about, you're more than likely able to either walk in or get an ADR fairly easily. :thumbsup2
