Can't get a much better bargain than this!

Don't know about the Keurig one but I have been a member of Bzzagent for years now and it is awesome. I sign up for campaigns and get sent free products (or coupons when perishables), I go on Facebook and Twitter to "buzz" about it. For rewards you get points to redeem on MyPoints (which I also love :goodvibes). You don't get a ton of points but the products alone are worth it (got the Cars 2 Xbox game before it came out, Sonicare toothbrushes, a complete Dockers outfit) right now I have coupons for free bread :thumbsup2 before this one it was free pizza.

My thoughts exactly! Keurig has no reason to send out current product models, they are well known and selling quite well. I am a product tester and the products I get are new or something already out there that a change has been made to.
I'm with most of the other posters here, don't get the point of the post :confused3

How did you get signed up to product test?
I would love to do something like that.....

OP I don't drink coffee but that sounds like a great thing to get referred to! Nice!!

20/20 Research, Viewpoint Forum and Kidzeyes (survey company for kids, they recently added the parents). Look up 20/20 on Facebook, they post when they have opportunities. Viewpoint just go straight to their website and sign up. Kidzeyes is something my kids were invited into about 8 years ago. I'm not sure how to sign up for that one.

Here's the point of the post, this is the Budget Board and people post about deals, great ones, ones they are excited about etc. I can't tell you how often I have read one of you talk about a deal you got that you are proud of and excited to talk about that has ABSOLUTELY no relvance to some of others of us, ie. you have a piggly wiggly store you got a great deal on, we live in Florida don't have a Piggly Wiggly here or a Menard's or whatever stores that are only in your area, but we as a community and as fellow bargain hunters should/could still be happy for your success. It's a real product testing, I am doing it as well and no, I'm not giving the name of company who sent me initial survey and invite for the panel that is testing the product because I don't want to jeopardize my opportunities to test other products either. I don't go through other posters deals/success stories and discredit their happiness or their opportunities and hope that we all remember it's a SAFE, flame free place to share deals successes etc. I am happy she's happy especially if it's her 1st big score. We ALL have had that feeling. I applaud all your successes and great deals.

Some of the Survey companies I also have registed with is Kraft First Taste, Bzz Agent, Sendearnings.com, My Take.com, Surveysavvy.com, Smiley360.com, Myview.com, Communispace.com(Maidenform Bra, intimates community), Houseparty.com(I have reviewed and had parties for Dominos Pizza, Febreeze, Pantene, etc) to name a few... The opportunities are out there and yes I do get a lot of email and some of it is spam, but these companies are legit, I also use Swagbucks as my search engine which is probably not a new site for you all, and earn Amazon gift card codes.

Take some time on a slow weekend and research sites, you can get coupons, free products, the opportunity to be on panel inteviews onsite at the actual companies research departments. I'm not saying one could make a living wage doing surveys but a little surprise in the mail is never an unhappy thing.

Thank you, Grantiare. As a retiree, I have lots of free time and will go through your list and see what might be of interest to me and/or my DDs (although DD#1 probably knows about most of these!)

ROFLMAO. I love all the "new" posters that came to the defense of the OP. I'm one that says WTH, why post this?

Well I think it's great the OP got free stuff!! I was just asking for a name or a nudge in the right direction. No flames from me. But I will comment that forums are generally about SHARING information. If you can't or won't tell then I respect your decision. :thumbsup2

viggle gives you points for watching tv ... Currently only available for iPad/iphone/around... Android device coming soon

so at last count there were three of us from the disboards I say we all friend each other on the k cup community pm me if interested

Was wondering the same thing. Funny how many newbies showed up on this thread.

As for a pp and why people post great deals they find at Piggly Wiggly or whatnot, there are posters here from the same area. They are deals that others CAN take advantage of. Just because 100% of the DISers can't does not make it any less of a deal.

Posting a "deal" that you can't tell how you got is just plain bragging and NOT budget related.

So because a poster is new to this board, an opinion isn't valid? Just so I'm clear... wouldn't want to go upsetting anyone. I think even as a new poster I tried to help out the people on the community by sending them the same places I go to do surveys, and that may result in them having opportunities etc. I don't think anyone was "defending OP". I was just stating that I (and apparently a few other people - who are NOT NEW posters) am also testing some same products as a few other people on the board.

Why wouldn't you want new blood in a community? New people may have other websites,(ie. check out REFUNDCENTS.com, excellent site and where I get a lot of info on deals), insight, inside info as they work in retail on sales before the general public, etc. I'll have to pay better attention as I read through the threads this weekend so I can differentiate from "Bragging", "Boasting" and what is considered ok to express or not.

I think being unwelcoming in a group just because you have been on it since 2005/06/07 whatever, isn't helpful to the board. It doesn't make anyone more experienced at deals, it just means you have been posting on the Disboards longer, some of us have been on other budget/deal boards that long as well, but I take care to make sure to be welcoming to all new, old, returning whatever the case may be, posters. Thus, the word Community. I would always say feel free to pm me should anyone have questions on anything I post deals, sites, etc. In this economy, anything we can do to help each other has to be a good thing even if just means being happy for one another's successes.

As much as I would LOVE to know how she got this, I can only say Congrats and that's awesome !! Bragging is an okay thing to do too. I see a bunch of people on here all the time with the deals they got locally.

thanks, my girls do Kidzeyes already, my teen does Teenzeyes and I'm a member of the parent board but they don't do many surveys for parents. I'll look into 20/20 and viewpoint. :)

I'm a Bzz Agent and Houseparty member but with HP you have to be able to apply right away and that isn't very realistic for me. I've done some great parties for them tho! :) I'll check into your others this weekend. :)

It's kind of pointless to inform anybody of the DEAL if you are not allowed to reveal the name of the company in any form. I don't buy it.

There's no way the company would know if you PM the name of the establishment to others.

Ditto.

Keurig did indeed send out thousands of free keurig machines and k-cups for a year to various people selected through survey sites. I received one. (I'm not a new poster, btw.) I am drinking hot chocolate that I made with my free keurig using my free hot chocolate k-cup.

I stand corrected!

I'm guessing that the OP is referring to Pinecone Research. Participants are not supposed to reveal the name of the company. I used to be a member, but got kicked out after I missed 2 surveys in a row (I was on a long vacation). Since I got the boot, I don't feel guilty giving the information about them. :rotfl2:

Programs like this definitely do exist. I'm a Amazon Vine member, which is an invite only program. Over the last 3 years, I've received approximately $7,000 in merchandise in exchange for writing reviews.

All due respect, deals posted from Piggly Wiggly, Meijer, or any regional business, are interest and available to any member of the public to whom that retailer/business is convenient.

That's not the situation with this "deal". It's not actually that at all. It's more like a special private club: "look what I got, I can tell you about it but you can't have one".

Frankly, this is exactly the type of post that belongs on a Budget Community sub-forum.
If there were one. If people weren't so resistant to minor change... :)
