Can't find Disney Properties (Anaheim) on Chase UR travel portal...?

Different card. This is the Chase cards that earn Ultimate Rewards. If you have one of these premium cards, you can use the rewards for travel, and many times, Disney resorts (both WDW and DLR) can be booked using the points.

If you have other questions, feel free to ask here or send me a pm. I use these cards and the points for travel a lot. There is also a thread on the budget section of the DIS called "I love credit cards". It's a very active thread and lots of us on there would be happy to help you more if you are interested :)

Thanks for the tip about the "I love credit cards" thread. I will definitely check that out. I'm currently doing Chase UR and Barclaycard Arrival Plus. I'm enjoying my new point-earning hobby.

As @wendow mentioned, the "I love credit cards" thread on the budget board is fantastic and can offer a lot of advice on how to use credit card points for travel.

To OP, I also sometimes have trouble finding DLR hotels on the Chase travel portal. I suggest searching for one day at a time and see if anything comes up. If just one of your days isn't available then nothing will show up for your series of dates. Also, try putting in a different number of travelers. I have put in "1" before and no DLR hotels come up, but if I put in "2" then they will pop up. Strange, I know.

I have heard that Chase's travel portal is based on Expedia, so if you can find what you want on Expedia then it should also be available thru Chase.

Finally, I have read on the above mentioned thread that Chase's Cruise and Tours department is a full service travel agency, which means that they can book anything that is available on the Disney site. I have also read that it is possible to pay with your URs and then you can pay the remaining balance with either your Chase card or with Disney gift cards! I'm hoping to go this route when I book our rooms for August. I know its not fun to actually have to make a call, but it might be worth it. If the person you get the first time doesn't know what your talking about or says it can't be done, hang up and call again.

Good luck, and hope to see you over on the budget board!
Thanks! I have also seen in various blog posts that people book whole Disney packages by calling Chase (you can't do it through the portal). I didn't realize you could potentially pay with Disney gift cards to make up the balance, though. That has my wheels spinning about combining points from more than one card (using non-UR points to get Disney gift cards, maybe). :)

Our dates are in July. Pricing/points just depends on how expensive the hotels are for your particular dates and then what your % savings is depending on your card. I miss the days when you could get tickets with your points but it sounds like I could still do that if I called. I’ve never tried calling (for Disney travel anyway). Thanks for the tip!

I know, the part about paying with Disney gift cards opens up so many other opportunities! Here’s the original post where it was first discussed: https://www.disboards.com/threads/i-love-credit-cards-so-much.3528202/page-611#post-58654408

Definitely come visit us on that thread! We all love to chat about ways to cover our Disney (and non-Disney) travel with points :)

I got the arrival+ last year when it had the 50k signup bonus. It was a wonderful way to pay for two of our park tickets and UR points covered the other four tickets. Yay!!

You can definitely get your tickets through the Chase cruise and tours but one of the gals on the credit card thread just found out (the hard way) that you need to make sure the agents buy the tickets from Disney direct and not from Funjet. If they buy from Funjet, they don't want to send the conf# until really close to the date you need them. If traveling to WDW, that is no good lol.

I wasn't searching for specific dates to actually book travel (was just trying to get a ballpark idea of points required per night). The other day I searched for November, next January, and next April. Just now I searched for the last week in June, since you said you could see June. I found the Grand Californian, but the Disneyland Hotel doesn't show up (maybe it's booked). At least I found ONE OF THEM, so I don't feel crazy now. Maybe as someone suggested above I was just looking too far in advance. I don't think I would book with this method if we can really only find those hotels on short notice (a few months or less), as it's hard to plan a trip that way. All that said, I'm still not 100% sure we want to stay on property. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel this past winter, and it was awesome, but it might not make the most sense to use that many points just to stay in the bubble the whole time. I'm just trying to weigh all my options while I work on raking in the points. :)

I'm redeeming points through the Sapphire Reserve. Our dates are June 19-24 (5 nights).

Here is DL hotel:
For 2-queen upper level room
$673.50
or 44,900 PTS
Total:$3,367.51
or 224,501 PTS

GC and PP are neither one showing up for me anymore. I feel the DLR hotels are too much (especially for larger families) so we are staying offsite. We stay onsite at WDW and I have booked rooms through the UR portal. The inventory fluctuates a ton from day to day.
