I am attending g a conference October 9 -13. They have rooms blocked at boardwalk.inn for 265. However the budget the company gives us will only cover three nights. Where is can I stay that is close enough for me to get to the conference but still nice enough. I will be brining my husband and kids. They are 9,7,6 and 3 months.
We only plan to do a Halloween party because we have week trip for next may planned. This is a work trip with a bonus. So I want to stay at a hotel with some nice amenities for the kids.

I'm not sure what you mean by close enough. Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin are all within walking distance of the Boardwalk, but, unless you get a really good deal at the Swan or Dolphin, those resorts will price out higher than the conference group rate. You could look into a moderate resort. With your family configuration of 5 plus an infant, you could look into Port Orleans-Riverside or Caribbean Beach Resort. If you don't have a car to drive to the conference, you would need to take a cab from your resort to Boardwalk, however, or you could take a bus to Hollywood Studios and either walk or take a boat to Boardwalk from there. If you can swing it, I would recommend simply paying out-of-pocket for the two extra nights at the Boardwalk. That's a good price for the resort and it would make your life a lot easier.

The 9th-13th of this year? I think you'll be lucky to find much available. Thats a really good rate for the BWI. You can't stay in a value cause you're over capacity. That leaves POR AND CBR. AoA suites and the FW cabins would fit you but would most likely be more $ than BWI. I just did a quick check and it doesn't look like anything else is available for those dates for your party size

Sorry, but for that price and the size of your family, off-site would be your only option.

All Star Music suites would also fit your family are pretty reasonably priced. Not sure if anything is available your dates though. Or you could get two adjoining rooms at any of the value resorts. Good luck and have a fantastic bonus trip!

Ok so I did a search and Pop Century has rooms available for your dates. One room would be $111.99 a night using the "Back to School" promotion. So two connecting rooms would be about $224 a night. Hope this helps!

That's a good price for Boardwalk. I'd pay the extra night out of pocket. For me it would be worthwhile to eliminate the hassle of staying somewhere else less convenient.

I am also a dvc member. So we are thinking of two nights at boardwalk. Sunday and Monday. Then two days akl in a one bedroom. I do want to avoid using the cash if at all possible. Since this trip is so last minute. I already have a beach vaction for labor day and matro of honor in a wedding in november. we also will be driving in from louisiana so I can drive my own vehicle to the conference site. Most likely dh will drop me off though. We will most likely use the buses to go the mnsshp though since it is at MK. If you guys can think of any road blocks I surely welcome that input.

I think that sounds great! Two fantastic resorts with a ton of amenities your kids will enjoy. I think you found a great solution!

Have you looked at FW yet? The cabins would fit all of you, there would be plenty to do for the kids and your husband, you'd be in safely occupancy wise and you could even cook to save some $. I think it will come in under the $265 your conference rate at BW, but unfortunately, not by a lot. Just an option to consider. The conference rates are great, when you have a big enough group. I attend a conference at the beginning of February every year and we get the same rate you are paying, but at the Grand Floridian -- although with our family's tendency to spend most of our time at Epcot and Hollywood Studios, I wish we got that rate at the Epcot deluxe resorts as well.
