Having a hard time deciding which resort to select. Wife likes GF I'm torn between Boardwalk and contempoary. Want to be close to parks. Is the monorail system pretty quick about getting you to EPCOT? Any other pros and cons would be appreciated. Thanks

If quick to Epcot is important than your best bet is the Poly and being in the part near to the TTC (Ticket Transportation Centre) where you can catch either express monorail to MK, ferry to MK, resort monorail to MK or the monorail to Epcot

If you go with Boardwalk Inn, you would walk about 500 yards to the International Gateway "backdoor" entrance into Epcot then walk through part of World Showcase to get to Future World

thanks

I have only visted those resorts and I like GF best out of the three.

I've stayed at all three and all three are great for transportation. Although I feel that the Poly is the most convenient. Second to the Poly for transportation and convenience is the Contemporary and then the Grand Floridian. All are great, but my heart belongs to the Polynesian, but my kids love the Contemporary (tower).

I have stayed at them all but I would Pick the Boardwalk or the Contemporary those are my 2 favorites! ;)

I agree - the Poly would be perfect. It's a easy hop to the TTC to take the monorail to Epcot. And, of course, you're very convenient to MK as well. I guess it would depend on where you plan on spending most of your time, MK or Epcot/MGM. We love the Epcot Resort Area and have been staying there for several years. YC/BC is our fave - or "was" - we stayed at the Poly this year and fell in love with it. So, YC/BC is a close second. We found transportation to Epcot to be a breeze. It was a short walk to TTC.

Yep, go for either the Poly or the "big Toaster". Plus I heard that Elvis is alive and well and working as a gardener at the Comtemporary! Hard to beat the Monorail hotels for access. We generally go for the Epcot resorts, since our DVC "home" is at BWV. And we love being able to walk over to Epcot for good food (or just downstairs and out to the BW or over to the Swan/ Dolphin, good food everywhere around the Epcot resorts::yes:: ). We especially like being stumbling.. er... walking distance from Epcot during the food & wine fest in Oct/ Nov. :teeth:

I see why you are having a hard time! The GF, Boardwalk and Contemporary are all great resorts!!!

This would be tough for me too but if money wasn't an issue, it would be GF hands down! For the atmosphere, the new pool and location! And if you are lucky, the MK/lagoon view!

My second choice would be the Contemporary because of it's location...you can walk to MK, take the monorail to MK and Epcot. The room views are amazing! The monorail going through it. Great fun.

Last but certainly NOT least is the Boardwalk. Great location for Epcot and MGM. Beautiful resort kind of similar to the GF in atmosphere. Cute pool. The Boardwalk has great entertainment at night.

Good luck choosing!
