Couple questions for those more knowledgeable....
I have a February use year, and had a trip planned for first week of June. 72 of my points for the trip were banked 2019 points. I think(?) I won't lose them now as long as I use them by August 2021? Or do I have to book by then? I'm confused. Our previous trips were straightforward.

Anyway I rebooked my trip for October and borrowed a few more points to do it. I have decided I don't want to be in WDW in October but I already took the time off. My choices are:
1. Switch reservation to Aulani, similar number of points. Give up on WDW until 2022.
2. Keep reservation until July when 11 month booking window opens, then change reservation and go to WDW June 2021.
3. Cancel reservation, try to book something for June 2021 or later.

I have less than 50% of my 2021 points remaining, so I don't want to cancel and then book something later because then I would have to borrow more than 50%? Should I keep the reservation and change it when we know more about what's going to happen, or cancel and let the points go back into my account? Which gives me more flexibility? Just looking for opinions here.

Your banked points will expire on Jan 31, 2021. They were originally good for Feb 1, 2019 to Jan 31, 2020. You banked them into the 2020 UY which made them good until Jan 31, 2021. Only the April and June UYs that were past their banking period appear to be extended.
We know that some Members had reservations for Disney Vacation Club resort stays during the closure period using points that are set to expire. 2019 Use Year points for April and June that are set to expire in 2020 and that were used for these reservations will be extended for one year from the current expiration date. 2018 Use Year points for April and June that were banked into 2019 and used for these reservations will be extended for six months from their current expiration date. Please note this temporary policy only includes expiring points that were used to book a stay between March 12 and the end of the closure period and that involve a reservation cancelled after February 29. In addition, to better support Member availability, Disney Vacation Club will not extend the life of our expiring developer points.

You are now prohibited from borrowing more than 50% of your allotment.

You did not mention when you booked the October reservation, but if you exceeded the 50% rule after Friday, they will cancel that reservation

Any borrowed points above that threshold borrowed before the 24th of April are grandfathered in, but one can not continue to borrow.

As mentioned, your banked 2019 points are not being extended, only those that actually expire during the closing...April and June UY...are given the 6 month extension.

ETA: misread,,,you are still below 50%

So if I'm interpreting this correctly my best bet is to change my reservation to Aulani for October. Otherwise, I will lose my 72 banked points. I can't use them in June 2021. If I cancel I could bank 2020 points, use 2021 points, and borrow about 40 2022 points to complete my reservation, but I'd lose my 2019 points.

Correct. If your next potential trip to WDW would not be until June 2021, those 72 points do you no good for that trip as they will have expired,

So, Aulani in October is your best bet to use up those 72 points.
