can't chat

This is the first time I've tried to "chat" and I can't get through. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I've created a name/passord and downloaded ichat or whatever. I kept getting an error message about waol causing an invalid page fault at ichat or something so I selected "java", But as it's loading and keeps saying "applet started and so forth, I get kicked off and keep starting over. I don't know what's going on! Maybe I'll try next time

If you are using AOL, you most likely will have problems...what I would suggest is to minimize your AOL browser and bring up Internet Explorer and then try getting into chat again...I believe that should work for you!
