Can't book EMM

Sounds as if Disney needs to educate their customer service staff on what's going on. It's either sold out or there is a system error. Either way, the person answering the phone should know that. Not to mention, it it's sold out, the website should tell you so you don't have to bother with a call in the first place.
 
I think it is a glitch as I checked 4 different dates in August...all gave me a message saying it couldn't search.....but my last week of August trip is predicting crowd levels of 1-3, so I can't believe it is sold out

From your keyboard to their ears. About everything that the phone CM deal with. They get things wrong more than they get them right, sadly.
 

So it is sold out? I was wanting to book it on 9/13 and I keep getting the error too. I'll be so bummed!

No way have that many people tried to book online and then called and actually gotten lucky enough to get a CM that knows how to book it.

Unavailable doesn't always mean sold out. Some CM just take the lazy way out and assume Sold Out. Others are more willing to dig and figure out what is going on.
 
having the same problem for july. I called twice and they told me it was just sold out. I explained that I tried every date until September and they said well they must all be sold out. Don't believe it for a second lol.

I think this message is just showing up now. Many of us were able to book online when it first came out for August. I think it is possible some dates may have sold out. But I doubt all of them did, all at the same time. I still think it is a glitch.
 
Ok, so many questions about whether this is really sold out. I started to wonder if I'd get a different answer from a different CM....so I called back. Four times in the past 36 hours.
First callback: I opted to go through Events, and the CM I spoke to happened to be the same woman from one of my previous calls. She gave me the same info as before: it's sold out
Second callback: Went through Dining. CM had no clue what I was talking about. After many questions, she finally answered with, "It's a walk-up event. You can't reserve it. Just walk up that day, and you'll be let in." ooookay. Moving on,
Third callback: I called Events, and got a gentleman who knew exactly what I was talking about. He assured me it was booked through dining, and transferred me. Got another gentleman in Dining who was very helpful. He had no idea what I was talking about, but spent at least half an hour figuring out what EMM was, and how he could book it for me. He tried everything, and finally told me there was an error each time he tried to bring the reservation info up. He could give me no answer, and was very apologetic. Nice CM, wish I could have given him + feedback, but my phone died before the survey started.
Fourth callback: Went through Events since no one in Dining ever knows what EMM is, and got a very nice young lady who looked for any available date in August. She told me there was no info available for August, and speculated that perhaps the dates hadn't been released yet. Another CM genuinely trying to be helpful, but limited by the information available to her.

That's it for me. I'll check on the website to see if anything changes, but I'm done harrassing the Event and Dining folks, lol.
 
I called yesterday and a very sweet CM looked a few different ways and said she couldn't see any availability for my dates in September. She sounded confused enough that I think I will keep checking the website. Good luck to you!
 
It is fixed now. I was able to make my reservation, no problem.

Glad to hear this is now sorted, hope everyone that ran into problems is able to get booked!

I just searched for this thread to say this morning when I randomly checked I was able to see that August 14th is not sold out, and can be booked, so it seems to be fixed. I see I was late, but thought I would post anyway!

Thanks for the reports that it's working now.
I got 1 booked for our trip with DGD later this month. I know she'll love riding 7D over and over and over. DH and I loved the breakfast so even if we don't want to ride over and over again it's worth it
Now I need to decide if I want to book for DH and I on my birthday in August.
