Can't book Aulani or GCV on modify

I have a BCV booked for April 2023 that I'd like to modify to Aulani. When I try to modify the ressie both Aulani and Grand Cali are dithered out and I can't select them but all other resorts (other than RIV) are available. I don't want to cancel the ressie and book Aulani in case it get's booked by the time I cancel and then try to book. The point are resale but in the right use year and not transferred or anything. Any ideas why those 2 resorts are blocked for modification? TIA

DVC stated at some point in the last year or two that you can't modify a WDW stay to Aulani or VGC. I do not remember the reason.

However....try this....it may or may not work. When you go into modify go ahead and select all WDW resorts and then search. Then at the top when it asks you for the resort select nothing. It will then show All 16 resorts -- including Aulani and VGC. Whether or not it lets you select the resort and go through the modification I do not know but they do show up in the list and it appears you can select them if you do it that way.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm sure I read that at some point but it didn't seem relevant so I didn't save that info. I tried your suggestion but that didn't work either so I just canceled and then rebooked. I missed one night I wanted but just shifted by a day.

I'm guessing my canceling of a BCV studio for the week April 14-22 made someone happy!

My guess is they are trying to "save" the members from making a mistake and accidentally booking a western US resort vs eastern.
