just phoned the hotel to request a room with a river view and they said that's fine

this will be our first time using meal vouchers because of the exchange rate being so bad - also the first time not taking much actual cash because of the same reason, so it'll be the card this time around. (I think I read on here that if you leave your card imprint then only 1 transaction fee is applied on check-out?)

main concern is the weather - prepared for the cold but hopeflly it won't be too wet ... let's hope we get to still feel and enjoy the magic

DD will be on the lookout for Eeyore and I'll be looking out for Jack because they have eluded us so far, lol

Yes you can, as your actual credit card won't be charged until the last day.

We go on Thursday and I've been checking the weather forecast every single day, several times a day (blushhhh) since last week. As of today and if accuweather.com is accurate, it's going to be dry all week and on Sunday, it's even going to be 13c??!!! I don't mind the cold but not the rain.

Your DD will be so excited when she finds out. How and when are you telling her? We are keeping our trip in feb a secret from DD(8) and DS(4) until Christmas day and it has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO difficult but I know it will be worth it!

I'm not going to tell her until she is about to get dressed in the morning.

I've told her a few times that this year I wouldn't be waking her up on her b/day to fly her "anywhere" ;-) which is true ... we are flying out the day before!

Can't wait to see her face, hehehe.

Thanks for the info on the c.card and also the weather report, dry is the main thing, the rest I can deal with, though it's a pity it wont be all frosty like before.

What I like best about reading these boards is the sense of excitment that builds with everyone - it's a nice "shared" feeling.
