I can't believe I let this happen!!! Last week at WW I got my 10 lb. ribbon. I was so proud and I was telling family & friends about my accomplishment. After that I feel like I just forgot about WW for the weekend and in a way sort of celebrated by eating too much & drinking way to many beverages at a wedding. Now I am up 2.5 pounds and have to deal with that dissapointment on Thurs. at weigh in. I even stopped journaling my points this week. I guess I just need some help getting re-motivated to loose the next 10 pounds. Has this happened to anyone else where you reach a milestone and then "celebrate" and get off track???

Just think of the success you have had and put your "slip" behind you. It may take you a bit longer to reach that second 10 pound goal but you can do it!

My advice would be to put it behind you. What you did has gone and it is no good worrying about it now because there is nothing that you can do about it. Just remember how you feel about what you have done and promise yourself that you won't do it again (I know easier said than done :D ) Today is a new day, so you can start again. You will probably lose some of the 2.5lbs before your weigh in if you get back on track. Good luck and start journaling those points again ::yes::

Awww, don't feel too bad! And definitely no beating yourself up!

I have celebrated lots of milestones along the way....the thing to remember is it's never OVER! So a 2.5 pound gain isn't enough to set you back for good - you lost those 10 pounds and you can lose those pesky 2.5 pounds and then some!

Don't think of it as a race! It's life - you probably didn't gain 2.5 pounds of fat - maybe you had some food/beverages that were higher in sodium and they are causing you to retain some fluid.

No matter, today is a new day! Don't think about what you will weigh this week or next week. Get back to journaling and drinking your water. Create some fabulous meals with fresh veggies and snack on a crispy apple or some other tasty fall fruit! :) You've got what it takes to do it, so believe in yourself!

Absolutely! Stop dwelling on the past and pat yourself on the back for the successes you have. Every day, renew your promise to yourself that you are doing this. Every day, you are one step closer to a healthier you, or a more beautiful you, or an easier to shop for you, or a more active you. Dwelling on a bad day (week or month) will not get you where you want to be. It causes guilt, which causes pain, frustration, anger, and leads to more emotional eating/drinking. Put it behind you and move through it. Forgive yourself. I know you can do this. We are all here for you.

Keep the Faith!

Happened to me this past weekend. I weighed 185 on friday which is exactly what I was looking foward to then then saturday and sunday and monday (the holiday came) we had a family weekend and I blew it! I eat whenever whatever for 3 days. Tuesday went back to Curves and thankfully I at least weighed the same. I felt like it was a free ticket I was lucky that I didnt gain. Then I realized I probably could have lost a pound or two had I not done that. I went from feelign lucky I didnt gain to $hit I could have used those days towards losing.anyway I am back on track. My goal by the end of this week was 180 Dont think thats gonna happen. Use this as a lesson. adn focus more on next time you lose. I try to look at it like a rolling ball once you get it moving you cant stop cause then you got to get it moving again.

I think most of us have fallen off, it's part of being human. :)

Today is a brand new day! Make the best of it. You didn't gain that much, but if you don't lose before weigh-in time, just tell them the truth about it. I'm sure they have went through the same thing before. Don't beat yourself up over it. Use this as a lesson and move on. :)

You can do this, we have faith in you! ;)

I think that I am safe in saying that this has happened to all of us on this life long journey. What you need to remember is that it was a slip and now you are back OP. We all need a little break from the routine of counting points, exercising, etc. but we just have to remember to take a break and not forget about our "Plan". You have worked so hard to get rid of those 10 pounds and you'll have those next 10 beat in no time. Keep up all of your hard work and keep coming back here for the inspiration that you need. It sure has helped me get to where I am at now in my journey. I'm sending you some extra PD this morning for a great OP day!

Don't let it get you down. Everyone has a bad day here and there. Think of it as a learning time. Next time you'll know to treat yourself with something other than food.

I hope you have a good WISH week this week. :sunny:

I like the quote that Melanie posted the other day about this being a journey, not a destination. That is so true. This is a journey and there will be many twists and turns of the path along the way. Don't beat yourself up for taking a wrong turn! We have all been there!!

It's tough to make real changes to your lifestyle, sometimes old behaviors slip up on you when you don't expect it. But you HAVE learned from this and you will know how to deal with it next time!

I've definitely been there and recently too!! I'm now getting back on track. Will I be perfect?? NO - and that's OK!

It IS a lifelong journey of becoming healthier. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start taking those baby steps that led to 10 pounds less of you!! Your extra 2.5 pounds is probably mainly water weight and will disappear pretty quickly if you drink your water and eat on plan.

Go for it!! We're here with you, cheering you on and willing to lend a hand when you've lost the way.

Hi there,
Don't get discouraged. You have lost 10 lbs and that is a great accomplishment.

I always say, the past is the past. Don't let it derail you, its only a day, or a few days. Move on, and leave it in the PAST!

It's definately a journey and not a destination. Unfortunately, most of us will have to eat sensible for the rest of our lives. That is why we gained weight in the first place. Part of your journey is going to be to realize that it's easy and fun to make this a journey and a destination. Feeling healthy and eating healthy feel so good. Keep up the great work- You are doing fantastic. Also, this is life. If you have an event, deal with it the best you can and move on. Don't let it make you stop journaling or eating more. Also, try planning for these things. It makes it much easier, if I plan, and eat less prior or after so that I am still on program after my big event.

You can do it, we are here for you !

Hurray for your 10lbs success. Now go get rid of that 2.5 pounds and get to that 20lb mark!

Melanie

That 2.5 pounds is probably just fluid left with you by that mean old bloat fairy. That happens when we eat offplan foods :(

You're back on track now, though. Forget about what you ate over the weekend. That is in the past and you can't change it so don't worry about it. Focus on right now. Right now you are newly determined and focused on goal.

I hope you enjoyed the wedding.

First of all I just wanted to say thank you all so so much for the wonderful support and replies. I had to vent that problem somewhere and if I didn't have WISH I don't know what I would have done.
TigH: You know what...I think it was water weight. I weighed myself today and I'm down 4 pounds...go figure!
Wiskband: Just wanted to let you know that I am probably about that same exact weight as you & it sounds like we both had bad weekends..let's forget it and move on!

Thanks everyone!!!
