Can't believe I did it - booked a cat 2 today for Oct 2004

When you get bit by the disney bug its impossible to shake it. We have been DVC members since 1998 and will be taking our first Disney Cruise in Nov 2003 (2 - cat 8 rooms). Well after reading the cuise forum for the past 2 months I made the plunge for a cat 2 in Oct 2004. Call me crazy. Is there a cure?

Hello Mrs Don,
We may have met. There is a good chance you know my wife (Alison). She is in TDS weekly buying pins and beenies for her collection.

I payed cash and rented my points. The exchange rate from DVC to the cruiseline is not so hot. Plus you can not book your cruise using points until the 11 month window. If you want a certain room (like a secret port hole, cat 1 - 3, etc) most are gone by then.

I'll look for you next time I'm in the mall. We are also know Jeff Christiansons. Are kids do school and scouts together. Just ask him if he knows the Barczak's (David, Alison, Mary, Timothy, Matthew, and Andrew).

Im just wondering if the cat 2 is a good Idea for my party of 7 instead of our usual 2 cat 5 rooms.

If you dont mind sharing, I would be interested in knowing the cost, I suspect about 2500 per person but what about kids?

We booked a Cat. 3 yesterday for the 10/09/04 Western. It will be our third Disney cruise, but our first Cat. 3!

Congratulations David!! You're going to love the Cat. 2. The only problem is you do get spoiled. We booked the Western last May while on our 7-day Eastern and just got our confirmation for our request for a Cat. 2.
