We are going to Disney in November and I am looking to get a lens for dark rides and inside. I have the nifty fifty and could probably be fine but who couldn't use an excuse for a new lens lol. I have it narrowed down to the sigma 30mm and the canon 28mm. I can find lots of info and examples of the 30 but I'm looking for some more examples and irl opinions on the 28 before commiting. So if any of you Disney enthusiasts could offer you experience that would be great thanks!

both would work fine, I use the original Sigma 30mm 1.4 for indoor and night pics. You can find it used for around $200 - $250

not Disney but the Sigma 30 1.4 with a 60D
f2.2 ISO 4000

No pictures from me but I think you'll be able to shoot more dark scenes with the f1/4 (I used a 24L II f/1.4 on a 5D3 dark indoor rides) without a tripod.

The Canon is at f/2.8 which means a quarter as much light as at f/1.4 so you need to shoot with some combination of longer (slower) shutter speed and higher ISO to make an equivalent exposure.

As I believe that your camera doesn't have microfocus adjustment be sure whatever lens you buy focuses accurately in all situations (light and dark) before you get to Disney in case you have to exchange it (more likely with a third party brand such as Sigma).

Between the Canon 28 and the Sigma 30 I'd go for the Sigma 30. IMO it's the better lens.
