In brief, it's not bad for a superzoom. But superzooms by their nature, are a ton of compromises in order to achieve a huge zoom range. So if you feel you really want or need a 50x zoom in a compact package, it might be the camera for you. If you are looking for top image quality, looking to capture sports, looking to capture low light images, etc, then keep looking.
