Canon A75 Shutter Lag

One of many reasons that we have not gone digital yet is due to shutter lag. I have read the the digital Rebel almost completely elimintates this problem. Unfortunately, the Rebel is not currently in the budget.

Any comments on the A75??

Every non-SLR digital camera will have shutter-lag of some sort.
