If your family has rented a canoe at FW, can you please share your experience? Did you see any wildlife?

Did you enjoy your time with the canoe? Does the canal area have any shade? TIA!

I have always wished the fort offered a better canoeing route. By that I mean larger area. DD and I did a canoe trip a couple years ago and it was fun but short.

It is kind of a short route, you can take your time and enjoy it. The shade is hit and miss, I'd be prepared for sun. We seen fish, ducks, and a small alligator. We enjoyed it.

short, boring, and $12 for 1/2 hr. Only saw dogs, and sandhill cranes, and a few ducks. Wouldn't do it again.

IMO it's like going to a movie. I've seen movies I thought were great and then hear someone else say they hated it. Kinda like this thread lol. I would suggest an early morning trip to escape the sun and heat. It's only a few bucks, what can you lose? BTW, according to TCD's pic the ride is $11.00 per hour.
