Have you ever rented a canoe or anything to travel the waterways at FW? I'm not talking about renting boats to go in the lake, but just around the property? Is that something fun to do? Any idea how much it costs?

Thanks a bunch!

Just this last March we tried the paddle boats at the bike barn and we could not get the darn thing to go anywhere, it just kept going round and round in circles no matter which way we turned the rudder. We went back to the bike barn and they told us to take a canoe but since I had recently had surgery I was already wiped out from the paddle boats so DH and DS14 took a canoe around the little creeks of FW. The cost was reasonable but I don't remember how much exactly, but DS and DH did say it was a lot of fun.

Some of my favorite memories as a kid are of taking a canoe around the canals with my dad and brother. The price is reasonable ($7 bucks for a half hour, $11 for an hour).

We used the canoes when we were there...one for DH and myself and one for DD and DS. We had a great time and the kids loved making fun of my DH and myself because we kept going in circles trying to steer it! I think the worst thing was the life vests which were very hot...but you have to wear them.

Do they also have "water mice?" These are the two-seater blue and white motor boats. We have rented them when we stayed at the Poly, and are hoping they have them at FW as well.

The water mice are available for rent at the marina, but not the bike barn.

Thanks for the info everybody! We'll definitely not rent a paddle boat but a canoe sounds fun!
